This was a very helpful video. Many thanks. Now I just have to try and get the Benny Hill theme song out of my head. I figure it will take at least a week but I'll be thinking of you! :)

That is a nice size system interesting up in the great white north most houses only have a single dual chamber tank that we pump once or twice a year. I see why now alot of US literature recommends 3-5 years for pumping

How can I tell if the switch is working or not outside of lifting the float switch component our system doesn’t seem to function with this float switch I can disconnect the float switch and plug the pump in and pump runs

What can you suggest to stop the corrosion factor in my lift station, it eats the pumps, back flo valve and hose clamps.

Was the Benny Hill Show theme song music really necessary through the entire video?? Answer: No. It was not. About 30 seconds was all that was needed...

Why pump shit uphill? Run leach lines downhill from house and let gravity do its thing. With these electric pumps if you lose power for few days you will be screwed...and constipated.
@51farmalla3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the layout of the land and where the ground will and will not percolate water through.
@khandam77092 жыл бұрын
dosing pumps allow for leach fields that are almost 40% smaller because the water actually fills the entire field instead of just trickling out at the first few feet. the pumps are cheap compared to extra labor needed for a field that is 40% bigger.
@jamesebola12502 жыл бұрын
@@khandam7709 I'll buy that. But still, why pump uphill if downhill is available ? Pump downhill instead.

I have a flapper style check valve just upstream of my septic effluent tank pump. I was told to remove the check valve because in winter the effluent in the pipe upstream of the check valve can freeze. The volume in this piping is not enough to cycle the pump after the effluent drains back into the tank. Anyone have opinions on this?

@cliffcorbitt94943 жыл бұрын
If your septic systems built right you'll never need to pump it buddy. The natural bacteria's that eventually start growing on the tank walls and bottom eat all the solids away. Pumping it out ruins it and takes away needed bacteria.
