Septoplasty and Turbinate Reduction | Snoring & Mouth Breathing Treatment

I had difficulty breathing through my nose and kept getting sinus infections over and over again, and I was on antibiotics, but the infections kept returning, so I saw an ENT a couple months ago and found out I had a deviated septum, so I had septoplasty surgery last month to correct it, and I'm doing so much better. I can breathe easier through my nose now. I feel much better too.

I'm not Jason but I had this surgery yesterday. My Dr didn't pack, he just gave me a holder with gauze that straps onto my ears then under my nose. I'm a complete mouth breather today but the surgery went very well. I was under general anesthesia. It was like: "The gas isn't working. It's not working.... "Wake up wake up", I thought something was wrong and they were waking me up before the surgery started. Turns out it was 90 minutes late and it was all done. I had some pain right after surgery but the doc fixed me up with some morphine in the hospital and sent me home with a prescription for some strong pain pills. I took three yesterday and today it's not bad except for some congestion and spotty bleeding. Overall It wasn't bad at all. Just waiting to see how much better I can breathe when this is all done. The only problem I had was a complication of the anesthetic where my bladder contracted and I had to have a catheter put in for last night through tomorrow. It also wasn't very bad but was the worst part of the surgery.

My nose was often runny due to swollen turbinates. I just had them reduced today

Do not do this type of surgery by after anything goes wrong thy don't take any liability after surgery ...

its the case in rhinoplasty only where nostrils change its shape...not in the case of septoplasty...as its internally only.

Im getting septoplasty in a few years and im tryijg to find one answer and that is The bone cartilage in my nose do they remove it or do they reshape it and will it grow if it gets removed because i saw on google Nose cartilage cells are known to have great capacity to form and grow a new cartilage after septoplasty please help me
