Hmm to be honest Dune is maybe the only one. I'm not to confident in Prey. As just about every time I see shows or movies that try to portray Native American culture it's pushes the line of being overly stereotypical. And just makes overly broad assumptions that all Native people are same as Cherokee, Apache or Black Foot. I'm sure there will be plenty of Natives that may disagree with my stance. But I am descendent of S'Klallam (The Strong People) and Lhaq'temish (The Lummi People). With no disrespect to other tribes. My bond to native culture is not that of the Cherokee, Apache or Black Foot but of my own people. And Hollywood and a mass majority of people don't get that. Native people all have there own pride and history. Sorry for the rant everyone. Didn't think I would write this much about the topic. Apologies and Happy Holidays to those celebrating them.

@@HoldenNY22 they are tribes in the Pacific Northwest. Puget Sound area. They are know for several things. Notably coastal fishing and whaling. As well as distinctive art style known to tribes of the PNW. But that's not different then every other tribe across the continent. They all have something special that each are proud of. Similar to Europe all those different cultures. Some evolved to countries there today and they so close to each other. They may have some similarities but many differences. Just As the tribes across America north and south. I have lived on and off a reservation and currently do not. But the way you worded that question. The assimilation into society part. Left me feeling like you want to start an argument. Like you are trying to force me to say something offensive about other tribes or that I'm justifying events in history. I'm just one person and I wanted to share my opinion and observation about it from my perspective. Even if just on a whim on KZbin. You don't have to agree with it or respect it. But definitely I'm not going to fight you for it either.

People panned National Treasure 1 & 2 and for the life of me I do not know why. I loved those movies and as long as they don't botch it I'm really looking forward to 3. Hell I'd love to see 3, 4, and 5! It's one of those movies that are just fun, half-comedy, half-serious. In my experience, they made it easy in that way to suspend disbelief and just go with it. Like the movie Congo I can watch them over & over too because they are atmospheric.

Its not that they are out of "Fresh Ideas". They do not want to take any risks and produce movies that a sequel can not be made for. the days of John Hughes movies like Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck, etc are over. The environment, the characters, the music, all were woven brilliantly together and hooked me from the intro onwards. Also excited to see National Treasure 3! That has been on hold for so long.

Biggest bummer about a potential Tron 3 is the fact that Daft Punk is now no longer together so I doubt they could do the soundtrack for the movie. They absolutely CRUSHED it in Tron: Legacy and IMO are a big part of what made that movie so special.

I can't believe that Cruella ever got made, and I am even more shocked that it's getting a sequel. They tried to take a character that helps define the term 'cartoonishly evil' and make them the hero of the story? Even the final product doesn't get it. I like Emma Stone as an actress, but Cruella is unlikable and the plot was an absolute mess.

Tron for sure. Tron: Uprising, the cartoon on Disney+, is simply amazing! It expanded the lore of Tron and did it with style and great storytelling. Not many people actually watched it though so it got canceled after one season, but fans and critics all loved it. Definitely give it a watch if you're a Disney+ subscriber! It takes place between the two movies.

After a bit of reflection, I realize that the worst sequel offering on this list would have to be Bohemian Rhapsody 2. Sorry, folks, you only get one biopic per historical figure (that is, a single story -- not various independent interpretations). The important parts of Freddie Mercury's story were told, including the coda which summed up his remaining years. As for the rest of Queen? Well, we all know that without Freddie, Queen is just another very decent house band. You don't try milking the cow after you've turned it into steaks.

As much as I hated the show and don't feel compelled enough to watch the second season, even if it got cancelled after that, this would make a great parallel between Marcus's relationship with his estranged father and SPOILER DONT READ THE REST IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED BAD BOYS FOR LIFE And Armando's relationship with HIS estranged father Mike and I think in the post credits scene, Mike recruited him to be his partner? Half of these sequels follow movies that were utter crap the first time around. However, some them, such as Dune Pt 2, Mad Max Furiosa, Star Trek 4, and Cruella 2, are natural progressions of their respective series. Others, such as Prey, Aladdin 2, Bad Boys 4, Bohemian Rhapsody 2, Expendables 4, Lion King 2, National Treasure 3, The Tomorrow War 2, and Insidious 5, are simply cash grabs for series that were either already tired out or had reached logical conclusions, or (in the case of Lion King and Aladdin) just plain old greed by Disney. I'm looking forward to a LOT more hilarious Pitch Meeting videos in the next two or three years. Now THAT's where the entertainment is.

Tron 3 is definitely the most exciting part of all of these, but it's not gonna be the same if they don't get daft punk convinced to make the music 🎶😍😍 everybody knows a sequel to Dune is coming but that is the second most exciting one

Almost all of the movies have the same flaw...excitement at first and then the ultimate let down. Good example is 23 Jump street, the same path followed by Ghostbusters. It is like they set it up to fail.
