Thanks for the review - did you happen to do a speed test for upload and downloads on Visible? Full-time nomad looking for somewhere that could be accessible for video calls, etc
@abeandmel2 жыл бұрын
I do not remember download/upload speed but i do remember that we only got service near the beginning of the road. We were able to stream Netflix and internet browse

Loved your video but could you pls tell me exactly what roads you took to get there / we will be in the area in 3 days & would like to camp here/ thanks
@abeandmel2 жыл бұрын
I have the coordinates in the description. We took the main highway (generals highway) and then I believe it was forest service road 14s11 that we turned on. There is a sign for big meadows that you can see from the main road. Enjoy your trip! Let us know how you liked it👍🏻👍🏻

Are there fire rings there?
@abeandmelАй бұрын
A couple years back there was not. Not sure of the last two years.
@adrianruiz8690Ай бұрын
@@abeandmel so you know if you can have camp fires in that area?
@abeandmelАй бұрын
@adrianruiz8690 i would check the local rules for the national forest. I believe when we were there we could not due to high risk of wildfires and also wildfires were happening that we had to leave early.

I'm actually going to Sequoia National Park and I was thinking about free camping do you know of any other places in Sequoia that we can free camp

Were you allowed to make camp fires?
@abeandmel11 ай бұрын
While we were there we were not able to
@nuclearhotseat15502 жыл бұрын
Latest word is that because of the fires, this area will not be open to dispersed camping or perhaps even day trips in 2022.
@abeandmel2 жыл бұрын
😲😭😭this was such an amazing camping area. I hope the fires can get under control and down.

Thanks for the info and especially if anyone was planning to head out that way this summer

I've scoured the web looking to confirm this info, I have found nothing on any official sites about closures. Can you please give a reference so we can verify when this opens?

That camping area is in sequoia national forest not kings canyon and sequoia national park 😂
@abeandmel2 жыл бұрын
Yup, that’s what the video said. “This area is located between Kings Canyon and Sequoia National parks”. Thanks for watching🤣😂😂
@fruitsnackaz2 жыл бұрын
@@abeandmel not what the title is very misleading. Located between two parks means it’s in a park also very misleading just say it’s located in Sequoia National Forest because it’s in the forest not the park 😂 nice try

@@fruitsnackaz Little harsh there man. This camping spot makes both NP's very accessible.
