In Australia you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a Serbian immigrant and an Australian born Serbian. They are exactly the same... Partying like the world is ending, driving BMW without seatbelt, complaining about the police and of course that sweet white powder in their pockets. Even at 40 years old they are still partying but with their kids

Bro, your content is absolute Gold! My family is from "Macedonia" (Bulgaria) but I`m born and raised in the U.S. I can see both the western and Balkan cultures´ innate characteristics. Your channel has to be the best on this topic by far. I`ve tried to appreciate Balkan women for example but find most of them repulsive and gawdy and exactly how you described. I also have a crazy Serbian friend who is obnoxious but entertaining and the life of the party. I live in Germany and sadly most of the Balkaners I meet here are of the BMW driving, wanna be gansta douschbag variety (including my friend). I know there are lots of decent people in the Balkans but unfortunately also many primitive ones. I usually don´t advertise my Balkan roots here because of the bad reputation they have. I visited Belgrade once and fortunately met some nice young professionals that spoke English and had a nice time with them. I feel like the pride of being Serbian (and in the Balkans in general) impinges their ability to evolve and progress to more contemporary standards. I have cousins who emmigrated to the U.S and quickly adapted to western standards. I can see their personal development in certain parts of their inner consciousness that may not have normally have been given much attention inside the balkan culture. If you´re ever in Germany and would like to have a coffee send me a message. When I visit Belgrade I´d like to meet you if you´re interested. Keep up the good work!

For the eternal student stereotype its worth mentioning the level of corruption in our state faculties, which is one of the reasons why stydying all day doesnt help and why people have drinking problems. I was one(without the drinking), i transfered to a private college . The only difference is that people here do their jobs and i had no problems passing my exams on the first try.( for reference i study architecture in Serbia).

Serbia is the safest place in Europe at the moment, I am amazed at how friendly people are to foreigners, they are always there to help you, host you. You will be safe in any city you visit. I didn't notice racism anywhere. I definitely want to spend my future retirement days in that country.

@@anthonylong9067 On the contrary, I know a lot of Albanian families who moved from Albania and parts of Kosovo to Belgrade, many of them are programmers, they are satisfied with life in Serbia, I listened to their stories that it is difficult to live in Albania, they explained to me that with them dictatorial government, they only falsely present themselves as democrats. An Albanian colleague explained to me that 40,000 Serbs live in Albania, that there is a law denying Serbs the right to a Serbian name and surname, you can live in Albania as a Serb on the condition that you change or name or surname in Albanian. When I heard that, I was unpleasantly surprised.

@mihajovanovic8 ай бұрын
Yea, nicely thought out as a joke but you are not even aware of how close to the truth you actually are, or you would be only 50 years ago... sad story of my people... Before the breaking up of the Yugoslavia, Sarajevo used to be known as a second biggest serbian city (in terms of a serbian population/circa 200k) Zagreb used to have a strong, compact influental and pretty rich serbian community, that consisted more than a 10% of Zagrebs population in '20 (it got devestated durning the II WW). Pristina is a story of its own along side of Prizren( known as a "tsars" city. It has strong cultural and historical significance in our history, we Serbs have a greeting "next year in Prizren"that dates hundreds of years in the past, and its THE capital city of all of serbdom.) The last portion of serbian population was persecuted from these two most important cities of KiM, and southern serbian lands in general, in 2004. Knin on the other hand doesnt hold a significance as big as the fore mentioned cities but it used to be a strong bastion and regional center of orthodox Serbs in region of Krajina. Excuse my rusty english, hope that youll understand enough to get the message. It would be nice if you acctually read just a small part of history of us Serbs in these mentioned cities, cause you wouldnt regret it. Cheers!

Mistake: Only the center regions of Novi Sad are LGBT, the outside regions like Telep, Adice or Futog are where the 80% of gypsies reside and the regions don't even have a sewer. I would know because i've seen it with my own two eyes.
