Part of me wants to run screaming from AI helping me write! I’d hate to be a writing teacher today😂. However, I’m so excited to try this on my statement. I was so flummoxed the last time I wrote one to apply for a residency. Sounded like it was written by a 6 year old. Eventually, I asked my husband to read it over and that helped tremendously.

I have subscribed. You offer practical solutions in a friendly and easy-to-follow manner. I have used Chat GPT to create catchy titles of a few of my paintings. I ask for a list of 10 titles, based on a description of my painting, then I pick or modify my favourite title from that list.

Great. All you do is give the command like this.. Translate this text to Spanish in a formal voice. Then copy and paste. You can tell it what kind of tone you want if more formal or casual conversational. The more instructions you give it the better it works. And if you don’t like the translation then say something. Try again

Wow, I love this. Your triangle diagram for writing your artist statement makes it so clear. I like the way you express what you are doing in your work. I think the tools you are showing are really interesting. It's important that you talk about starting with your own work and using AI to generate alternatives or summaries. I think this could be super helpful for artists who really struggle to find the right words to express themselves. Thank you for showing us what to ask the Chat GPT. I edit a lot of artist statements and think this could be a great way to show emerging artists how to generate alternatives for different platforms like you are suggesting.
