Needed this today (and always honestly) I’ve watched these through like 10 times and they all make me laugh predictably and I pick new funny things up each time. Would love another series or another iteration of Partridge programming!
@hb-fc3jj Жыл бұрын
The Oasthouse podcasts are excellent and really stand up to repeat listening, where you pick up new bits each time. I'm sick of the moaners who say AP isn't as funny as he used to be. If you've watched, read and listened to the entire output, staring with the Radio 4 stuff it's a pretty bloody amazing character development. The only glaring inconsistency is the fact that he's been middle aged for 32 years now, but who cares? John Shuttleworth has got a Scotty dog called Kirsty who's pushing on for 37 years of age 😄
@SpecialOrder935 Жыл бұрын
@@hb-fc3jj I’ve only heard the first season of OastHouse and fucking hell was that funny , him being attacked by his own dog , falling after jumping over a small wall 😂 Alan is one of those characters who transcends media , I’ll always see him when listening and I’ll always hear him when reading

I feel like Partridge is too confident and assured here. In 'I'm Alan Partridge', he was much more pathetic and constantly failing, which made him funnier and definitely more likeable than he is here. Futility is the essence of the clown.
