TRUST me do the explication exams by Dean and the lecture videos he makes! If I may make a suggestion, it would be very helpful if you read all the choices as well and not just the question. This would be very helpful for those of us who either cannot read the fine print very well, or who are listening as opposed to watching to kind of have this subconscious studying in the background. hello Dean, for question 52 (QID 1263590) the client now owns a LARGE position in XYZ, why would she hedge with buying a Put when she can write a call (covered call) and possibly receive income if she is wrong while hedging her large position. My guess is since we do not know qty we cannot assume she has 100 shares of XYZ

Hey Dean! I have been obsessing on all of these explications and I appreciate them so much! A constructive criticism however, you have mentioned multiple times that a number of us listen and watch on our mobile devices. Believe it or not I listen in the car a lot so I'm not actually reading the questions I'm listening to your great explications of the questions in the answers. So in this particular video, it's not very helpful for those of us that are just listening or are looking on a mobile device and can't really see because you read the question and then we hear Chris say I'm going to go with A which means nothing... This is definitely meant to be more constructive than criticism, I totally appreciate you both!

Is this test extremely easy?? I have been using pass perfect(not my choice) and have been scoring from 67-74% and just got a 88% pausing and answering. Any input would be greatly appreciated…. You da man dean!!

Hello! I found your explication videos and it gave me the confidence to start studying for the S65 (again!). 6/7 years of industy experience and am 6/63 licensed. I watched all your explications and then blew through STC texbook/vieos in 1 week. I take the S65 on Thursday and I am curious if I should go take S7 since info will be fresh in my head. How much overlap is there? Professional opinion on this? Currently scoring 80s & 90s on practice exams. THANK YOU!!!

Question #66 threw me for a loop. Under the USA, isn't the exemption for people who SOLELY provide advice on U.S. Government securities? The person clearly provides advice on both futures contracts "in addition to" government securities. If it's in addition to, it's not solely. Therefore, they'd be required to register as an IA.
