Just a tip I use black OB1 or CT1 from screwfix/toolstation for seam sealing gaps like that on my landrover, it’s overpaintable like seam sealer but far better at sticking, filling gaps and holding stuff together…. I’ve used it a lot in my landrover build

@@pda49184 Thanks for that. Hardly a masterclass though. More like an exercise in trial and error.! 😂Thanks for the comment. Russ😃👍

Another brilliant video, for those of us who are into these kind of repairs on our Land rovers, even if not now, this is all good experience for the future by just watching you. I recently had my front wing off and the bolts holding the wing to the bulkhead are a very course Whitworth bolts and came out surprisingly easily with a socket and long extension. Keep going, this is really good, for me anyway. Much appreciated footage. I have some small repairs to do in the footwell and also door bottom channel replacements when it warms up a bit.

Thanks for those kind comments. And for confirming my intentions. I am not an expert and a lot of stuff I’m doing for the first time. However I hope that watching me helps anyone who wants to have a go themselves. I am also happy to get comments from people giving tips and advice so I can pass them on too. Cheers Russ 😃👍

Progress!👍👍👌👌 Lately I’ve been asking myself (usually while inventing new cuss words) why we do it to ourselves? We should start a club! The Land Rover Preservation Society! Lol Nice work! Cheers Lance

Personal satisfaction. I 🤔 think. Some people play golf or do jigsaws at the kitchen table…….a man’s gotta have a hobby.

@@ianwallett7438There’s a lot to do before that happens I seem to be pulling more parts off than I’m putting on !!! Yes the s3 that’s in the garage Katy B and I have an S2 with no roof I use in the summer. I have work to do on both of them so no shortage of content for future videos. Thanks for the comment Cheers Russ😃👍

Regarding the inaccessible wing to bulkhead bolts, you could try drilling them out using a 1/4” hex shank drill bit and a suitably long extension bar. The bolts on my S3 are fairly new and the wheel arch liner is covering them, so I haven’t actually tried this, but it would probably work.
