Nothing in the question about correspondence....did you listen to commentary? C is not ALWAYS true.

Hi Dean! I don't quite understand question 1. In your explanation, you mentioned that we have to choose to be just one: either an agent, dealer, principal, etc. However in choice D, we are also acting as a dealer. Am I missing something?

When crossing stock the firm is not acting as a dealer. Firm is acting as agent. An agent for both the buyer and the seller (dual agency)

Question 8 is not about SMA or a short account. It is about limit order protection.

@@roundpossible that may or may not be true. It is not the best answer in the answer set. If I short 1,000 shares at 40 and stock goes to 30 yes but afterward goes back to 40 and then back down to 35 there will be no SMA from that market move downward. SMA does not stand for Short Memorandum Acccount. The S is for Special Memorandum Account.
