There have been Stock Market Fluctuations in the recent few days, we think its because of Donald Trump.
Due to the recent assassination attempt, Donald Trump's chances of winning the US Presidential Elections have shot up, and the markets have reacted negatively. Especially since he promises Trade Tariffs and Protectionist Measures.
How will this play out in the Financial Markets moving forward? is this a one off event, or a lasting problem that is about to beset the US?
Find out today in Mr Loo's Video!
What are the reasons for the underperformance? Will Temasek be able to recover from this?
Find out with Mr Loo in today's video!

I've heard the stock market often does well during election years. I recently inherited a lump sum and want to invest it wisely to take advantage of this potential upswing. Do you have any tips or strategies?
@Bunnydrille

A good portfolio should have three basic things: ETFs for diversification, dividend stocks for cash flow, and leading tech stocks. When starting especially with a lump sum, it's a good idea to talk to a fiduciary advisor for expert advice.

You don't need to find the next NVDA to succeed in investing. Just choose top-notch ETFs and partner with a financial advisor like I did. I turned $100k into $40,000 in annual dividends-a significant milestone for me today.

The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

Coming out of facing alot, I knew two things about the stock market: It caused the Great Depression, and the fastest way to make a million on the markets was to start with two million. And then the Great Recession happened only a few years later. So yeah, I wish someone had better explained it to me earlier in life. Having a good entry and exit strategy will make you succeed in the stock market.

Exactly, most of the investors pays more attention to the profit aspect forgetting that the market involves ups and down. securing your financial position requires lots of patience and proper education on the market so as to know the right profitable stock to buy and invest in. I made over $260k in profits, from just the Q4 of 2021. Investing in the stock market is most profitable when you understand how the market actually works.

I would suggest not to invest based on the whims of Trump, who had been proven in time to be highly erratic. Stay the course, invest based on fundamentals and trim on exuberance, and don’t act in the folly of certainty, a phrase coined by Howard Marks in his latest memo. There are unknown unknowns and known unknowns.

It’s going to be a lot worse this time round. The last time China economy was in better shape before Covid. Now China economy is in bad shape, it cannot withstand additional drastic economic shocks from huge tariffs levelled at it. Americans seem to want paying more for their goods cos that’s the end result of imposing tariffs and China just passes it on to the American consumer. This stokes inflation. Can’t imagine what will happen if FED increases interest rate some more. Trade wars leaves both parties wounded. There are no winners.

I recently bought some recommended stocks, but now they’ve dropped to penny stock status. With the market tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business in the last half of 2023 and early this year, I'm worried. How can rapid interest-rate hikes benefit a value investor, or is it better to avoid stocks for a while?

Just "buy the dip." In the long term, it should pay off. High interest rates usually lead to lower stock prices, but investors should be cautious during a bull run. It’s best to connect with a well-qualified advisor to meet your growth goals and avoid mistakes.

Could be getting more difficult where there's money tightening policy. 3)There'll be trade war going on, let see what are going to unfold in the near future 4) whether inflation, deflation or repression, be prepared in good/bad times, always got opportunities. 5) Also food/goods getting more expensive cos of destruction of supplies. 6) Always be prepared...take care God bless! ❤😊

Seriously, whatever Mr Loo say is bad for us but not US citizens. In my view this will be the last 4 years for trump as president and he will be more daring to implement policy without worry of next election. Beside branched of congress and senate will become republican majority in this election and trump can push law easily . Singapore need to prepare for 10% tax to US and also the need to choose side. If trump dare to place 60 to 100% Tax on china, do you think he can tolerate any country to have the beauty of both world doing business. Next Year CNY start will be the greatest plunge of all stock market.

It really depends. Cuz whatever Trumps wants it has to be put tru the senate and house. Likelihood, one will be controlled by the either majority, unlikely republicans are able to control both. Which will mean, a hung situation for some, unless both sides of the aisle agrees to the paper. Singapore is experiencing trade deficit with US. Drop in stock market, just make sure you get out in time for the swing up

This was regardless of the economic and stock market environment that I have announced periodically which will change with different events. It is the nature of the markets to swing up and down and thus my job to explain to people what causes the swings and likely movements ahead. Never had I tell anyone to buy or sell based on short term movements nor did I buy big time based on short term predictions. So, just chill and take things easy. It is very very simple to make a lot of money in the stock market - buy only when there is a terrible crash and relax after that for a very very long time.
