Ray Ahn is an Australian national treasure. I reckon Ray could write an incredible book about the Australian alternative rock , punk, metal scene of the 80s 90s.

This is gold!!!… I haven’t heard of the hard ons since mobile phones were invented!.. I’m a Melbourne lad and watched them play many times in the late 80’s early 90’s!.. I had so much fun I can’t remember where I was?.. I think it was in Carlton?!.. my mate had to get five stitches in his head and tried to hide it from his mum!.. classic days….

The old Greek?. Or festival hall?.. (Not sure either are in Carlton… infact quite quite certain festival hall isn’t…. (I was close to the speaker stack when not in the mosh pit…) So you can probably give me a pass on knowing where I was physically..

Hard-Ons have been in my ears since the late 80's. They should have been bigger but I think they're probably too good to be huge. I fucking love this band.

The Hard ons were before my time but obviously being into punk, when you do your homework, they are one of the pioneers of Aussie punk rock. Everyone knows smell my finger… Frenzal Rhomb have an awesome song called “Ray Ahn is my spirit animal” Lindsay from Frenzal was shitting on everyone during covid for not being vaxxed so i have since burnt all my frenzal rhomb shit in a bonfire out the back but it’s a cool song. It’s so cool to see 2 blokes who are so passionate about music have a chat about the old days, super interesting for those of us who grew up in the 90’s & 2000’s to hear how it was. Absolutely lovin the podcast man, I love me some pissed off, angry Steve Hughes but it’s great to see the reminiscing, chilled out Steve aswell. “It wouldn’t be my arse, my arse has swastikas all over it” was the highlight of this chat. I have 4 requests: Please do a live. Please get Drew on. Please come to Perth and do a show. Please release the special. I hope this podcast never ends. So glad you’ve embraced the internet, we finally have something great to watch!! Cheers

Yeah Lindsay was always quite a swipe.. What is it with musicians dictating people's private medical experiments

The Accused is so obscure it was only a couple years ago I was able to find it on KZbin. Martha Splatter Head was a great album. 10 years after cover still stands out.
