Yes and it was because she stopped feeding it as much. The falcon realized that it was weak and that it was the perfect time to nab it. That is why the white one almost got taken.

At around 8:40, the cubs were meowing as though they were scared, but they were actually starving. So, next time if they aren’t scared, look for a cub with a Greyish coat, cuz that means they are about to collapse of hunger. Hope this helps! Also, try hunting two bunnies if you can, it’s much easier

Tips for anyone who is inexperienced players. -You dont need to eat food you have no hunger only your kits do ypu only eat if you want extra stamina or you are put of it -You can catch deer in the mountains area and tundra area save up some stamina before catching them as they are hard to catch up to. ( If you have full stamina or if you still have some you can acctaully catch more then one as i have caught 4 with one deer herd) one deer feeds all cubs including you. -when you want to know when your cubs are starving or need food meow and if they are crying you must feed them quickly or they will collapse they wont die but they will need food you cannot ignore their crying. During any season other than winter do not go into the birch forest in thr starting area a fire will happen if you do but if it does happen go to water then it will go away and in moutains it applies the same just that you can also jump on the ledges to get away. -in tundra area you do not need to be scared anymore after one wolf encounter they will not spawn anymore after the first one but if you pause or leave the area and come back they will spawn again, when i go to the tundra i will always keep a rabbit if i havent encountered them becuase if you drop it while you are far from a ledge you can just drop it and they will eat it and leave. -If you are doing survival mode do not stop to pick up collectables that is the worst thing you can do you must constantly keep feeding them and never stop as the food migrates away from you. -dont be scared of the other areas they are all the same just some have different dangers but are easy to be avoided. -Drinking water also helps you replenish your stamina . -Catch rabbits in clusters by catching one and dropping that and catch more so you can feed yourself(which you dont need to its just to boost up ur stamina)and feed all your cubs. -This one is a bit more tricky to pull off but ive done it 7 times, if you see deer try to catch 2 or more its possible trust me xD ive done it with even half of my stamina but if they split apart then may aswell not do it only do it when they are following eachother so you can get them in a row, this is so your cubs will become bigger than you if they are at the age of a juvenile. -the tree area has the blob danger its not to bad but if y6pu go into it and run around it will take one of your cubs but if you stand still with your cubs while in it it will eventually go away. Fire is another danger but it only happens in the birch forest area just dont go there in any season other than winter as u can lose cubs if you cant get out of it. Foxes and eagles cannot be avoided in any area they are all going to spawn eventually. In moutains area there is fires, foxes, bears and eagles everything is the same expect the bears they will leave you alone if u leave it alone. you cannot kill a bear dont even try just avoide it. if the season changes it will go away. Tundra has foxes eagles and wolves, everything is the same just jump on ledges to get away they wont spawn after the first encounter so ypu dont have to worry its one of the safest areas because it normaly spawns more food cuz wolves arnt even a threat. Sorry if my grammar is bad i type really fast and im on a phone and english isnt my first language so my english is kinda bad. ive made a shelter 2 guide on steam and so have many others this is just thongs that most people i see are clueless about.

Tips: you will know when a fox is nearby when you hear twigs snapping, so make sure you listen to the background! I’ve found the tundra is the easiest place to survive. There are no natural disasters, and the only threat besides eagles and foxes are wolves, which are easy to escape. To escape wolves, jump onto the plateaus(aka the tall pieces of land) If you go to an area with deer, I’d recommend eating a rabbit before going after the deer. This gives you a MUCH higher chance of succeeding. I hope these tips help you, and any other new players!

Watch out for the foxes, since you have the mountains DLC there will be foxes that will try to sneak up behind you and the cubs, and snatch up a cub. Once they do you have chase and take down the fox or else you’ll loose a cub.

It feels weird watching shelter 2 gameplays sometimes because alot of players dont realize certain things that I did, lol. It'd make the gameplay alot easier, but It cant be helped. You dont need to eat, snapping twigs means there's a fox, your cubs meows can tell you how hungry they are, and their coloring also lets you know who needs to eat more. Not to mention jumping onto platforms to escape wolves is something lots of people dont seem to realize, though I cant be too hard about that because the game barely showed it outside of the start.

if you really want to sneak hold down the button for sneaking and should you meet wolves then you have to jump on one of these rocks that you see again and again in the snowflake area otherwise they will kill your weakest cub in Hard Mode you must have a bunny cause they can Go on the Stones themself and the Wolfs would Not hurt your cubs if you give them a bunny they Go and everyone is happy watch out for cracking branches that mean hungry fox on the lukewarm
