I am so glad you tested this TRUGGY!!! I have been looking at every Racing kit TRUGGY out there from Team Associated-XRAY, all electric versions and I have been scratching my head as to even how much better all of them are over RTR's like the KRATON, I own 1 as well, have about $2000 in it now but it's absolutely sick just on 4S, I have not put 6S in it in so long and I am glad. But I have spent a lot of time trying to find as much info from others on this RTR and/or the kit but you just sold me on the top of the line vehicles, especially SERPENT, they need to pay you because their sales just increased about 10%. And there will be a lot more talk I am sure, like you said Mr. Gary, it's really pocket change over the KRATON price wise and you actually get top shelf quality. Thanks again, and keep up the good work!!! I noticed someone else suggested the Mugen, I personally would like to see you build either the HB E817T, or the XRAY XT8E, that is if you are interested but I believe you will be since you liked this one so much. After reading a lot about the other 2 also, I would like to know from someone like yourself thinks about let's just say the XRAY vs the SERPENT? THANKS AGAIN

I've been racing serpent nitro and electric srx8's this past year. I came from my first year racing mugen. Just got my first truggy and got a lightly used cobra 811t TE with Electric conversion, gonna race it for the first time on feb 6th! The rtr looks pretty good bro, good video man!

Hey Gary! I just got the Kraton V3 2 weeks back and my hunger for more agile truggies started to increase and now I see this! I've been researching the Serpent buggies and truggies the entire day today and I really love the symmetrical battery layout instead of batteries on one side. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I might just get this over the CEN Collosus XT.

I ended up choosing the cobra over the Kraton, so far I'm super happy with my decision. I got the red version and it looks and performs stellarly. Even though I couldn't wait for you final thoughts, your bashing and initial thoughts definitely swayed me. Thank you :)

Hey man! That's interesting to hear. What surfaces have you running it on? I'm hesitating between those too but I'll mostly use it for sand, dirt and grass. Not sure if the cobra Will perform as well on those surfaces.

@@floriszuidema7068 I've ran it on pretty much every surface. Snow, sand, gravel, grass and astroturf. Tires are good on all surfaces except grass and astro(no bite). I've raced it and bashed it and only broken 2 wings so far. But mind you parts support isnt the greatest (depends on where you live). Rumor has it serpent is coming out with a new truggy platform soonish, dunno if they are gonna release a rtr though. Serpent impressed me so much I bought a srx8e kit aswell :)

Awesome review Gary! If you remember I told you you'd like it! I love mine and probably gonna get the buggy kit next to check them out. I love the electronics but it pissed me off that u can't find squat for them... I couldn't even find a receiver for the transmitter. Wanted to use it for other cars. Also upgrades are overpriced in my opinion. Otherwise keep on kickin ass and look forward to your next videos!

Do you know what the red led on the included transmitter is for? It has low printed on the face plate but it’s on whether the batteries are fully charged or not.

I just got this car and I love it. Usually drive on 3s, and I have a problem with the motor getting hot. Really hot. You said that you changed the pinion gear from 16t to a 20t. Will that help on heat issues, and could you also tell me how you did it. My pinion gear came loose earlier today, and I would love to know how to fix this problem. Probably easy fix, but I am new to this hobby and not much of a mechanic. Love your channel. :)

No if it's getting hot on stock pinion for you gearing up will make it worst. You may need to buy a motor fan

Use blue loctite on the pinion / motor mount. I run it on 6s (stock pinion) and no real heat issue. Try to measure the temps and compare online if its really that hot.

You need to run it on 4s at least. The motor is drawing too much current trying to make up for the low voltage that 3s is giving it.. Get some good 2s packs.

There's not a bunch of info out about this rig but make sure you get racing size packs the battery tray's are pretty tight

Bro if you want to secure bodies. I use LOCTITE FASTGRAB PREMIUM 8x. It's in a tube and you just caulk it on coat it. That thing is stronger than drywall tape+shoegoo
