With clem's level of micro, terran bio is just unbeatable. Every engagement is endless value through a little bit of stutter-step micro. Very imbalanced.

I don't know what's going on with zerg's total insistence on not using casters against terran these days. One viper? Really? No infestors for fungal? Ultras are so bad against stimmed, kiting bio, but fungal those guys? Ultras eat them all up. It's mind boggling.

i also dont know why zergs dont use fungal at all, i know it isnt as good as it used to be, maybe its just because of the 3 or 400 gas investment for just a couple of them, but ultras are literally the worst, shittiest thing to ever exist when it comes to attacking without fungal

Ghost with new upgrade are too good against infestors. Also infestors needs some time and money for two upgrades(borrow+mana). Maybe Serral didnt want to lose tempo and rely on Clem not been able to emb infs.

Now that brood lords have less range than thors, and infestors have a useless ability instead of infested terrans, Zerg can hardly do anything in the late game ZvT except get some ultras which are easily destroyed by studder step and liberators. This of course doesn't apply to lower level players, but on the pro level play I think Zerg is kinda crippled now. Even early/mid-game Zerg is hard now thanks to the inability to cancel creep tumors. I doubt we are gonna see any Zerg champions in tournaments with the current balance, but I suppose that's what the devs wanted.

Serral hasn't played that much Infestors since the nerf. My guess is that showing them against Terran makes the opponent go for Ghosts which hard-counter Infestors *and* Vipers.

I think nydus on early stages would've killed Serral, cause 275 gas for structure and worm is 11 banes, and a few zerglings in harras are too much on that stage of the game. The army wouldn't defend creep anymore. But drops might be a good option, however I think Clem just would Def it with newcoming units. I think only good infestor fulgals could save this game for Serral.

TvZ almost as bad for Zerg as PvZ is for Protoss at the moment. Terran seems to be a bit overtuned. Clem played like a monster here though. I also feel like Zerg can't use Nydus to harrass anymore. It seems like all of the Zerg nerfs are catching up to them. Queen range nerf seems unnecessary now.

Best Terran in EU atm, great to see, but none the less a patch Terran with regards to where he sits when up against the other races. Can't really take results like this all that seriously when balance is so off. We will see how good he has become in the grand scale of things when the next balance patch comes in, which I assume will help bring it back to a more even playing field.

Serral lost this year to Hurricane, Zest, Elazer and twice to Clem. Maybe more, but this is only from major and premier tournaments. This only shows that even though Serral is a great player, he was carried (like Reynor, Dark, Rogue) by his race in 2018 (his only top year) and 2019 ( where he lost to inno twice, stats twice, reynor 3 or 4 times, sOo), although 2019 was Darks year as top zerg. Since the patch, Terran has the advantage clearly. This only shows how "balanced" is the game and also the fanboys that call one player or the other the "goat" just because he had a good year. I guess if Clem wins a couple of premier tournaments, everyone will say that he is the goat and so on...I dont see a clear goat in SC2, but definetly not Serral yet. Maybe he will prove me wrong by the end of his career.

Serral transitioned to a lategame with vipers, ultras and corruptors. That's actually almost perfect late army of zerg, except infestors and broods. But Clam is indeed settled with t2 army, and he did not need one, current was good enough.

Terran seems so overpowered at the moment. This is the best player in the world and he can't deal with marine/marauder stutter-step micro. Clem is just microing these little groups of MMM and serral has no way to close the gap. Every engagement is extremely efficient for clem. How would anyone deal with this? I am neither favoring zerg or protoss or terran, I just like good games, but terran bio seems way too broken right now. You get endless value out of a tiny group of bio. (Ofc you need to have insane micro like clem) It just feels like there was nothing that serral could do to deal with the bio-balls. Very imbalanced.

I fully agree, it just seems rediculous seeing the terran killing the whole zerg army when stutter-stepping back. Would have been great though to see Serral try Lurkers and/or Infestors. The upgrades don't match for Lurkers but who knows, they should counter bio and would at least force Clem to deviate from pure bio/wm play

Yet nothing changed for Terran bio apart from the maps. It's the way the match-up works, yes the Terran is very efficient, but the Terran also can't take expansions as quickly as the Zerg or hit bases as often as the Zerg can. The problem is these players are so good, that when one player gets slightly ahead early, they are very good at keeping this lead and every small fight then starts to turn slighlty more favourable and that extra advantage grows and grows. We still see plenty of TvZ where the Zerg gets damage early game and the Terran can barely hold four bases and there is creep all over. But yeah, basically the Zerg just gets more economy than the Terran and thats why they can fight like this. If Serral wanted a better fighting army, he would play Hydras in the mid-game which trade more efficiently, so it's a stylistic choice, not something he is forced into.

Gonna be rough summer for Z and P with terrans figuring out how to play their race AND a T favoring patch on top of that. Its unfortunate; we cant figure out where the balance truly is because of the patches and patches get implemented because players cant figure out how to play against which ever race is dominant. I really like where T and Z are going though, and even P is starting to show some actually decent play, so i find this patch to be unfortunately timed. It especially pleases me to see how much europeans are advancing the meta. I recon koreans got a rude awakening this past year or two to what europeans are capable, but even still i dont think they realize that if they dont get their act together, europeans are going to become defacto the highest skill region of starcraft 2. It will be well deserved.

to wardi and all the clem fanboys out there who say he is the best foreign terran,, i guess you guys dont like the facts,, just check the statistics . heromarine is better in every aspect he has better offline and online results he has higher esl points more winnings better head to head score vs each other higher on ladder much more price money winnings and even in this year which was clems best check the placements of the tournaments in which both player played on liquipedia . clem has many early and middle exits and just a few medals and heromarine has 9 gold and 4 silver there is nodody who does even come close to heromarine ,, just because a player is hyped by wardi and others doesnt mean he is better the results are easy to find for everybody who wants to know ., to wardi i like you ,,you are doing great work for sc2 but please dont be bias. be professional and rate players on there actual results

Honestly I think it's just Clem puts himself out there more. He plays in a lot more tournaments and because of that we are seeing him play a lot and he's doing consistently very well in all of them. Did I call him the best foreign Terran? I generally found Clems play more impressive online just before and after Katowice - but that's easily said because HeroMarine has a higher seed in ESL Open Cups (Because Clem fucked up at Katowice :D) so it feels like his runs in those aren't as amazing - its the only tournament he is consistently doing well in. The thing is Clem also had some high profile wins in online stuff - beating Serral in a BO5 etc. I don't think Clem is so much better than HeroMarine -- especially lately HeroMarine in TSL Qualifiers and the event looked a lot better than before -- I think we have to wait to see the larger tournaments play out.

Yes you sayd that a few times in stream and also named your last youtube video "best foreign terran vs best foreign protoss" ( a clem showtime video ) clem is truly a great player and has the potential to become the greatest he played a many tournaments with good results that is true but so far he never was ore is the best foreign terran. there are different types of statistics which are important in saying who is best and as i sayd before heromarine is always on top. head to head/money earned/higher esl score/higher mmr/ and maybe the most important in this year all the tournaments where both player played heromarine was doing much better you can see every result on liquipedia ,, most of the small other tournaments clem did shine most of the other top european players did not play them that is also the reason why he could shine so much in those smaller tournaments but he did not very well in the esl cups , but sure if he wins more and get some good results in bigger tournaments he easy has the potential to become the best he is so young so talented exelent micro but there is still some work ahead of him before he can be named the best foreign terran , thanks again for the respond pls continue your grat work you are a blessing to sc2 ,good night

Til i think a lot of the stats arent great representations though - we talk about Clem being great in the past few months while HM has been at the top for a long time. Head to head is fairly even, money earned doesnt matter here because were talking shorter period, clem is higher mmr / same mmr, esl points are mostly just from katowice which is one event. Im not trying to say clem is the best - but i do think clem vs showtime is a better matchup than hm vs st with how the games play out thats why i caled that video best tvp in europe :)
