This is so helpful. Had no idea Goofy was the best to start off with. My 1st (after the tutorial Micky game) was Merlin because he kept chasing me with his little checkerboard Icon and I was scared for life. Didn't want to play any more, he annihilated me.

I much prefer to change out a character with someone like Goofy in a later round, rather than wasting a round with moving him to the center. Never waste a round by not getting a coin, if at all possible! Use a different figure first to get toward the middle while still getting coins, then exchange with Goofy or another jumper if you want to jump. Don't discount exchanging characters in rounds 4 or 5, if it gets more coins. Also, start with Scrooge if he can get at least 1 or 2 pieces, unless you can get 3 or more in the first round with another character. Because he adds +1 coin at the end of each round he plays in, he is great for a starter. And keep him going as long as he can get coins, unless another can get 3 or more in a round. Again, that +1 is so useful!

I like to have a jumper piece in my team, but I usually don't pull them out in my initial 3 rounds and instead tend to hold off until they are needed at the end and swap them in. I find getting comfortable with swapping pieces strategically is a huge tip that will help people. As an example, that match where the Mickey piece wasn't able to really do much would have been a time to switch in one of the reserved two pieces in the team who could potenially sweep up more. You've gotta do that at the beginning of each round though so figuring out what your three plays will be is important before clicking skip or swapping.

For all the comments questioning, yes you have to beat Mickey before you unlock Goofy or anyone else. The more you play him and lose, you'll eventually unlock extra characters or you'll happen to win by luck.

I've just realised the 'gifts' correlate to the companion you have with you. I've had rapunzel a lot so I've so many paper lanterns and few of the others. If you timebend with Scar for example you'll be more likely to find the grubby log. I've had to do this to get the parts needed to teach others to be timebenders

To put this in perspective, I have 49 lanterns, 27 embossed books (beauty and the Beast from gaston) and 27 fire extinguishers from eve. However everything else is around 10 (I always have a timebend companion so the drop is very reduced as I'll have got 2 per find)

Thank you for this video. I tried Scramblecoin when the update and DLC first came out, to do that quest for Mickey. It was so confusing and I couldn’t figure it out, and lost terribly. So I did all the other quests, and never tried Scramblecoin again. Until today. I watched this video and then tried it. Your explanation made so much sense. And I have collected SO much time bending stuff, that I was able to make all the figurines available with the table. Before this video I had seen those figurines that could be made, but I had no idea what they were for. So today after watching this video and making the figurines, I played and WON by a good margin!! Great video glad somebody made one for scramble coin. my best tips to win every game is to slow it down a bit and maximize each characters ability to get the most coins per turn. if they cannot get many coins go for the bots coins or block them from getting more. make sure to look at the bots characters to see what they are capable of doing and plan ahead. my current deck is Eve, Goofy, Scrooge, Stich and Ratatouille. 180+ rank

Hey Serroh! What a great video. I found it very helpful as I was extremely confused on how to play Scramble Coin. I thought it was an easier version of chess the first time I played it a couple weeks ago. Mickey destroyed me as I had no idea what I was doing. I winged it a few hours ago, and managed to scrape by with a victory. After doing some research on various websites and watching your video, it became easier to understand on how to win. There's lots of helpful advice in your video. Really appreciate it. I thought it was hilarious that Goofy has only his character 🤣 I managed to get to level 2, and have unlocked Cogsworth, Lumiere, Simba, and Nala. I have Rafiki and Forky crafted so far. Since I upgraded my time bending staff to level 2 just now, I can now craft Merlin and Kristoff! Thanks again.

hey serroh. i got the expansion last night and played a few scramblecoin games. i actually beat mickey in our game, maybe i got lucky, idk. but your first piece gained from points and mine are different. i got simba first, and so far only. simba was your fourth piece earned. i assumed the paths would be exactly the same but i guess it's random. that'll make it very difficult for someone to get that one specific piece they want

I understand how to play it but every villager has better pieces than me and the coins always appear on more of the villager pieces tiles than on mine before a turn so they constantly have a coin advantage before even moving. I would’ve preferred it be like simple checkers or something. It also is annoying that I get duties where I can get 500 mist for beating someone but beside goofy and Mickey it’s rare for me to beat anyone else.

Yes you have to beat Micky first. Try and use some strategies in this video to help with that. I wish you luck and keep trying Skip button just allows you to play your pieces. If you don’t skip you can choose to swap characters out. Only 3 characters allowed on the board at a time

There is a "bug" with mickey I guess, so when u first play the quest game with him, u can just rematch as long as u want, and it ranks u up. just an Fyi. I got to like 160 just cause it was fun lol, you have to do it all in one go rho, as leaving his game will make it as normal

If you havent started this quest then when you start it and play the first time you have unlimited games against mickey to play and unlock pieces. I didnt realize this with one of my games but tested it on my other game and got pretty far before getting sleepy. I only lost to mickey like twice. I am not strategy minded so that was great. LOL

The game really isn't that confusing, it's pretty straight forward. The hard thinking comes in when you have to learn what each piece does and where their best start spot would be. I also try to keep in mind that I'm able to block their pieces from coins too. I just have to learn the pieces better to have a better strategy 😂

The devs seriously need to add better indicators as to the skill levels of the villagers. If you JUST go by whoever wants to play that day, it seriously makes the minigame difficult and frustrating to the point where many players will quit playing scramblecoin.

Is anyone else having issue playing this minigame against certain villagers? When I tried to play Beast, Scramble Coin didn't begin, the game just froze up, and I couldn't leave the dialogue box, meaning I had to close the game and restart. It happened 3 times in a row every time I tried to play against him, so it wasn't just a fluke. The game also froze up on me a few times when I tried to swap pieces, and I couldn't keep playing and had to forfeit, so I think this mini game is pretty glitchy, it's not just very hard.
