In the third and final part of our Submerged Mini Excavator series, we finish getting water out of the engine cylinders and actually start up the engine. The John Deere 35G still a few issues so watch our troubleshooting tips to see how we got the machine up and running again.
As with any service call of this nature, there were a few after-care items that needed to be taken care of. While the heavy-duty mechanic got the mini excavator running again, the alternator was going to have to be replaced to be able to operate in the field.
How did we replace the alternator? You can check it out here: • John Deere Alternator ...

I'm 24 in Texas without career prospects. Been doing preventative maintenance for 3 years and I'm waiting two weeks right now for a job as a manager of a quick lube shop. I can't stop watching these videos. One day I'd consider saving up to be a mobile mechanic. Thank y'all so much for inspiration.

That's a John Deere in name only. Exact same machine made as the R35Z-9A both made on the same assembly line by Hyundai.

Um, you don't know what you're talking about. Deeres are made by a small Japanese company that started out making compressors in WW1. The 3.5 deere zero tail is the most revised and refined machine of its class on the market. It has stayed true to design for decades, and has the reliability to prove it. Are they making Maytag dishwashers in that same factory as well..?

Correction. I meant Hitachi ZX 35 U5. Hitachi and John Deere have been partners designing and building excavators since 1983.
