Hey y'all, I wanted to add something about Ketamine. Many people have found it to be more effective/the effects last longer when you can get infusions over a few hours for a few days in a row. (Example: 4 hour infusions once a day for four days.) Everyone is different, our protocols may vary. I would be open to trying this approach, but my insurance will not cover it and we would have to pay out of pocket (it is pricy). I cannot say if the longer infusions would work better for me because I have never done them, but I just want y'all to be aware of other practices with Ketamine!

Chronically Jaquie I just heard you say you want to get those injections for your hip and if they work for you then I'm going to talk to a dr for my hips. I was born with my hips messed up. My right hip is my worse hip and it dislocated last week and I managed to pop it back in.. I am seriously glad you have fantastic drs who want to help. My experience with drs is they say I'm faking it so I stopped going period.

Teresa Simpson ...exactly! Pain is completely exhausting, for days sometimes, or more. I feel like every time I try to explain why I can't exercise, I can't have lunch, or work etc, I get the eye rolls or deer in headlights look. I guess I don't explain myself well. I'm with you, it's why I love Jaquie's vids. She's so articulate. I think she would be an incredible teacher.

Thank you as always for sharing not only the helpful information about chronic illness but also your wonderful perspective and positivity! Your gratitude for the small things and attitude of "keep moving forward" are an encouragement to me and a reminder that it's okay to be thankful for things that other people might not understand or would minimize. For example, I wasn't feeling well the other day but woke up from a nap to find that my parakeet had left his favorite ball right by the side of my bed. It really is the little things that make a difference! :)Great job, Harlow! She is so precious.

The connection you have with Harlow is amazing. I teared up a little when you were talking about smiling and laughing while you were still in pain. I too am a chronic pain warrior and it felt good to know someone else understands that even though I'm laughing or smiling I'm still in pain. Most people think that must not be the case if you are laughing. It was good to see you feeling better in the beginning of your video. It always seems like you take one step forward and two steps back, I know that from experience. All you can do is listen to your body and take it easy. I keep you and your family in my prayers everyday. How's your dad doing? You haven't said anything about him in awhile.

Jacquie, Harlow is the cutest! It's so amazing how she can go from playful pup to working dog just like that. That is so important and amazing. I love you videos so much, they make my day every time. I'm so happy that your feeding tube is fixed. It's so crazy how quickly your condition began to degrade as soon as your formula is taken away. It really shows how much the right formula and the feeding tube is helping. Also I believe what is going on with your eye is either a stye or a blocked tear duct. Use a warm compress to help keep the swelling down and I suggest a doctor because if it is a stye it might lead to an infection because of your immune system. I love your channel and I with you the best! Mickey

Awwww! Harlow is such a cutie! Love golden retrievers! My family and I just had to put our thirteen year old golden retriever Max down on Sunday and it was the hardest thing to do, but the good thing is that he no longer suffering from his neurological conditions and arthritis. We miss him so much! We never got Max certified for me, but I did work with him and knew a lot of commands, worked really well with myself, my van, and wheelchair. Seeing Harlow makes me really happy. By the way, I live in Jax Beach, Florida! I have been really chilly since the cold front. Lol! Take care!

SAME!! Whenever I plan a trip I HAVE to give myself AT LEAST one full day of rest (so no packing or anything; I must do literally NOTHING but rest) both before the travel-day and after the return-travel-day. For this reason I actually can't go on trips where I'd be staying somewhere for less than two nights because I'd just end up spending the whole trip recovering from the travelling it took to get there. It definitely is a little ridiculous and funny when you think about it - us sick people have to plan little"mini-vacations" to prepare for, and then recover from, the main vacations haha. I've always believed and said that laughter is one of the most important things when it comes to winning the battle against your illnesses, even if that laughter is at your own expense haha. My pup and I send you all the love and spoons from Canada!!

Thank you for the Ketamine infusion update. I have degenerative disc disease and Ankylosing Spondilitis tied to my genetic blood factor hla b 27. I always knew this pain could come (from the possibility of acquiring Spondilitis). Just never ready when it happens over a large area of your body in your 30's. I have tried Torodol in my hip for pain relief while waiting for a long term plan, and it is helpful. I have also done a round of high dose steriod infusions from my neuro eye doctor. It was a few years ago and it worked amazing! The only issue is that it can be very very hard on your other organs, so at this stage we are trying to find a way to help the pain without it. Glad you got some relief from Ketamine and you explain things so well. Proud of you.

Honestly, it is very frustrating. I haven't had help about my health, so I don't have much luck with family understanding, or jobs because I can't stand long enough, didnt finish school because that's when all my health completely crashed. Its hard when all you did was sports and stay active, now those same people can't even walk to the kitchen or be able to get up stairs most days because you will fall. You will get many bruises. I find myself becoming fatigued to the point where I usually sleep 15/24 hours a day... Just gotta hang in there and try to keep our heads up.

I was also very active, doing Martial Arts 6 days a week. Then BAM, it hit me. It is not easy, and times are often tough, but so are we! You are not alone

I've never been to Florida but I hear it's very hot. Here in Wisconsin we've been in the 40s and everyone's just pulling out the long sleeve shirts but now we're going into 30s and 20s so we're sorta bringing out sweatshirts once it gets to 10 ish degrees we start wearing jackets 😂 I just find it funny Edit: also that 70 degrees is chilly for southern states! 70 degrees here is very high except for summer then we get up to 105 degrees we range from -25 to 105 degrees 😂😂

You just need to move all that here to Oregon. This summer we had maybe 40 days over 90 degrees, and most days are under 80.

This isn’t really related to this vlog, but I wanted to say that at work when I’m asking customers if they want a five or ten pence bag I use my hands so show the numbers (I have autism too so I have quite exaggerated hand movements). But now whenever I flash five pence I always expect Harlow to bark 😂 She is such a brilliant dog :) x

I would some pain management. I have bulging disks from t12 down to s1...also a stenosis and arthritis. My average heart rate with out my heart meds resting rate is 140. With my meds I stay at 101-105. Also I am hard of hearing. I'm feeling blessed that so far my puppy seems to be eager to train and help me already. Just gotta keep that up! I'm hoping she passes the testing for Service dog.

Ahh just wrote a long comment and my browser refreshed. -_- 1) Yep the armrests just get in the way 2) Looks like you got the Tilite ZRA. Your casters say ZRA? I know they can paint titanium nowadays. 3) Read your manual about maintenance. Ignore the warnings about transferring. You're gonna have to get in your chair somehow. lol It's a bit ridiculous. 4) The power assist wheels are great for you, but the chair will be easy to push with the regular wheels too, because the frame is so light. Sometimes I think my husband pushed me and nope, it's just because my chair is THAT light. (and I'm getting stronger) 5) I took my anti tippers off early on, but that's just me. Definitely leave them on until you're comfortable with your chair. 6) Looks like they did a great job on the fit. Look up "wheelchair propulsion" on KZbin and make sure your arms at 10 and 2 when you push to avoid injuries. I had to bring my wheels forward. Love the taper they did at the bottom. It fits you perfectly! and the most important.... 7) Any weight you add to your chair changes your center of gravity. This means you'll TIP if you have too much weight in the front of back. If I forget I have a heavy backpack on my chair and stand up, my chair hits the ground! Whoops. lol And lastly, enjoy every moment of your newfound freedom!! :)

Training her to talk, I'm not sure would be very helpful. If she's like most dogs, all she'd says would be "Is that for me?" and "Can I have some?"
