My StabilTrek light came on but i had to use my car. On my way home from town (9 miles) my car would not go more than 8mph. No one was around to help so i drive it iny the shoulder of the road. It really started making noise a couple miles out. I am a disabled great grandma on fixed income and my car sits on my lawn now. My prescriptions exceed my income so fixing it is out of the question. 😢 Thank you for your info, now i understand that I better just get used to the county transit hourly bus schedule out to my neck of the woods. 😊

Not sure if this will help but it helped me. I pulled the fuse that powered the stabilitrak system. Mine was a 25 amp fuse and labeled abs 2. 3 dash lights showed up but my car drives normally until I fix the hidden issue,

Just an FYI spare tire on rear can cause this issue most of the time the rim is a different size as well as the tire

I have a 2011 GMC Acadia and if i press the brake, traction control is on but when i release the brake the traction control is off... do i had to change the sensor in the brake pedal?

I am not getting any codes on my reader, but my ABS, and that Stabllitrack light / warring is on. how do i tell what speed sensor is the issue?

you should jack your car up and put it on stands: then check to see if any wires have been cut or if theres any missing. make sure everything is plugged in.

I thought it was speed sensor on mine but it wasn't..did you find the issue

@@FLbowtieguy Yea, it was the ABS sensor, the one that sits on the caliper. Is that the ABS or speed ? I forget, but once I replaced it the light went off.

@@FLbowtieguy also, I used a scanner at autozone and the code kept saying speed sensor which on that car is the entire wheel hub, so I tried the abs sensor first bc it was cheaper and damn it worked.,

Ok i have an interesting problem, my truck has a cam and has been tuned but its been like that for the bettee part of a year now. On my way home from work and all three lights came on randomly, i wasnt doing anything crazy or speeding. I just heard three dings and they turned on, im assuming its an wheel speed sensor?

Having an issue on my 2010 Chevy Express where the Stabilitrak light will come on intermittently when hitting a pothole, typically goes away within a few seconds, seems more pronounced of an issue during high humidity or rain, same with a service airbag light

If you have a basic scanner it won’t show that you need a full system scanner, wiggle the wheel speed sensor see if it kicks on if it does most likely your wheel speed sensor. I’m my case driver rear speed sensor

I had this happen few days ago, the engine ran rough and the StabiliTrak Maintenance message appeared but The Check Engine light did not illuminate. I connected my computer and scanned for codes but none were listed or found. To note the engine will start running rough at any speed or driving condition but is infrequent. It will go weeks or months before running rough. Otherwise runs great! this past instance was the first time the StabiliTrak message has ever appeared. I don't know what to make of this situation. My 2014 Chevy Cruze has been doing this stability light traction control light keeps coming on sometimes the check engine light will come on with it. But it will do it at an idle it will do it going down the road typically if I turn the car off for 5 minutes and turn it back on it will be fine I won't do it again for like a week I've changed out plugs and coils battery ground wire for the battery I've had my suspension checked out my wheel speed sensors I cannot figure out what is going on

I've been going through the same thing with my 2013 cruze. I have changed out the coil pack spark plugs, negative ground cable. And I'm getting the P0300 multiple misfire code I am frustrated and at a loss

We just reset the crankshaft positioning sensor with our launch code reader after replacing the ecm behind the same type of vehicle behavior

What if the vehicle doesn't have the check engine light ON? Will it still show you a code?

Yes, the engine light is for the engine. Any other light that comes on will also have a code if you scan it.

Just replaced the struts without gettin an alignment and the light came on. Do u think the light came on cause it needs a wheel alignment

So I just replaced upper control arms, lower ball joints, thai rods enter an outer id alert and pitman arm, On the way to the shop to get an alignment to get a stable light in a Service airbag... Didn't pull codes yet what these two be related....

If my engine light has come on and my stability service light has come on and I have been driving for more than two weeks and I do have all in my engine with my car up with my car stopped working. What is the worst? That will happen if how long do I have to drive before my car tears up I don’t want my car to tear.

I get the service lights come on for traction control and stabilatrack service light and then my truck goes into a limp mode codes showed crankshaft sensor I changed that and still happening any idea why I go into limp mode

Some vehicle computers need what's called a Crank Position Sensor Relearn when it is replaced. There can also be an issue with the crank sensor wiring.

My 2013 Chevy Express has it keep going off every time I hit a bump ended up being the steering wheel sensor Plug , it needs to be shimmed in order to stay in

If you have a 2007 to 2012 Chevy Tahoe and you loose power and stabeltrack comes on 95% chance it's your Throttle Body.. Catch is after market $75 won't work you have to get it off another tahoe, or go to the dealer!

I had my battery replaced and then got home and my stabilizer link light came on, saying it was off in my 2007 Yukon Denali; I pushed the button on the dash shortly after it went off. Next day it came on again with engine light, but went off. I wish they had a video for when you put it in four-wheel-drive 4low both traction control, and Stabilitrak come on in my Tahoe well my lady was cleaning my vehicle and some little hands touch the knob when the vehicle was in park so then my lady comes and picks me up from work and we get ready to take off and it starts acting weird and I just told her to put it back in park and then I see that it’s in between four high and four low so then I put it back on auto and then I switch back through it just to make sure everything worked fine. Everything worked fine until I put it on four low and then those two codes popped up. I have an engine code, but I have holes in my Cadillac converter and the wire that runs my O2 sensor to the Cadillac converter. The wires are destroyed. I gotta replace the wires. But I don’t have any funky eye or no high idols. It runs, smooth other than I’m worried about when I put it in for low the traction control is off and the other light pops on and it’s never done that.

Depends if you are on a slick surface. If you are, it will come on for a few seconds until it regains traction. If it comes on and stays on then it's telling you there is another issue.

Yes once a vehicle throws a code it's automatically stored. You can even get codes with no lights because it's pending.

To reset the dash, turn the key to auxiliary and push the gas pedal three times within 3 seconds

I'm assuming service stabilitrak will also come on if your vehicle needs a wheel alignment, especially if it's an AWD vehicle.

When I start my 2016 chevy colorado, there are no lights. But as soon as I press the brakes, the ABS goes on, i can feel the ABS pumping the brakes and then all the stabilitrak lights turn on. The problem goes away soon after but the stabilitrak light and ABS lights stay on. The problem persists every time I start the engine. I checked my OBD reader, but it is not showing any faults. Anyone have an idea what it could be before I take it to a garage and they start to bleed my wallet? I forgot to mention there is no check engine lights on.

If it's not throwing an engine code it is probably a wheel speed sensor/ABS sensor. He did mention that.

I have been having this problem for nearly a year now and the first time I had it looked at they said it was probably a leak in my fuel pump and then they said it was just a random misfire they replace an ignition coil and now they’re telling me I need 4 new wheels. It’s literally comical because no one can tell me what the problem is they’re just consistently asking for more and more expensive services and it’s still not fixed

Because once they know it’s a stabilitrak issue they start coming up with ways to hustle you out of your money. They know they can say pretty much anything for the cause of it. They will have you spending a thousand dollars even if all you need is a wheel sensor lol. That’s why I only have my uncle work on my cars because the last mechanic I had to beat up for playing with me lol

I have the service stabiltrack light on, the traction control light on, my check trailer warning came on and my brakes are stuck on evenly about 50 percent pressure and the truck is basically undriveable. Has anyone had this problem? It’s a 2015 duramqx. It’s been in a shop 6 times now. The truck will drive fine then all the sudden these warning lights come on and the brakes are stuck on evenly about 50 percent pressure. Then it goes away and drives fine. I take it back to the shop and it won’t do it again. Today I got it to stop by turning traction control on and off, exhaust brake on and off and turning the truck on and off. Then the brake pressure released and I drove it home with the traction control fault light on and the following codes Co131 ABS Co273 Brake reservoir sensor fault B101D AMP B124B HUMAN MACHINE B374A HVAC B1325 HVAC B1325 Ratio Uo415 t/b Uo415 t/c Any help would be greatly appreciated!

He's essentially giving a general explanation as to what it is, what it does and what could possibly set it off. It's up to you to scan your vehicle and diagnose what is wrong with your vehicle. As stated above, it will reset itself when the problem has been resolved.

Could a low battery cause this stabilitrak light to come on? The battery is only reading 9 volts while the car is running. I know it should be at 14.4 while running. My alternator must not be working properly. I scanned the code and got P062F.
