She was keeping herself from being arrested! These two got the tickets while driving HER car which means they against HER as the registered owner of the car. If you have unpaid parking tickets, a warrant can be issued. They probably won't come looking for you, but if you do anything that causes police to run your tag, they'll see it and pull you over, have your car towed, and arrest you. If you get lucky, they *might* let you call someone to come get the car immediately. If it's not picked up immediately, then they *will* tow it. She was protecting herself and it's not cheap. If you do t want that to be your gift, stop putting your mother at risk of arrest and park properly. If I'm wrong and she paid tickets they got on their own cars, then she still did them a huge favor by saving them from possible arrest. Either way, good move, Mom.

8:26 one time my dad tried making fried chicken, he had never cooked anything but eggs before. When I said, “eww” when I bit into it, he turned around and screamed, “YOU WILL EAT IT!” then I showed him the blood dripping from the bite I had just taken, completely raw inside. He basically did what that dad did and we got KFC that night.

One of my college friends put it, "once someone has seen you at your worst, seeing you at your best doesn't matter anymore." I think that must go for sibling rivalry, too - you can't put your best foot forward with siblings because they've also seen that foot covered in dog poop before.

I think that's why there's a lot of breakups, too. A lot of men leave a woman who has seen them poor, through an addiction, after an illness, after a health journey, etc. because they don't want to be reminded of who they used to be.

Steve Perry "the Voice", was the lead singer of the band Journey. To prevent from having a dry turkey, bake it with the breast side down and a foil tent over it, when it's done, uncover it until the breast is brown, and turn it over if you want, to brown the other side. Works perfectly. Never over cook it then or it will start to dry it out. Use lots of butter and rosemary, inside and out, with the usual salt, pepper, and other seasonings you like. Enjoy 😊

My middle son made the best turkey I have ever had. Moist, flavorful breast meat. He wet brined it overnight, injected it, smoked it for several hours then air fried it. It was an after Thanksgiving dinner, his wife was at work and he took care of their 2 and 5 year old sons. He also made multiple sides and had the 5 year old "help" with a few things. As all parents know when a 5 year old helps, it's more work for the parent. He rocks!

I learned at a young age that no one complains about my dad's cooking ... He made all BBQ and Turkey/Ham for holidays .. His turkey was dry ... never said it but discovered that if I used all the sauce and marshmallows off the Sweet Potatoes it was fixed lol ... I think I was around 15 when my dad noticed ... he asked " Why are you spooning all that on the top of your turkey " ... Quick thinking had me reply with " Because mom's sweet potatoes have a weird taste so I have to put your awesome turkey with it just so I can eat it " ... he laughed and my mom gave me a death stare :)

Regarding the turkey, the first time I cooked lamb for Easter, I slaved away for hours on it, and my lovely husband took one bite, spat it out and said “it tastes like shit”. Two hours later he realized what he said and apologized cause he didn’t mean to shit on my hard work but he wasn’t wrong. I don’t know if it had gone bad or if I messed it up but it didn’t taste right.
@pleasestopscreaming11 ай бұрын
Honestly, I just don't like the taste of lamb. Even the smell while it's cooking (my stepmom loved it so it was made once a month, I just abstained). You could make it perfectly but it might just not be to someone's taste.
@LazyIRanch11 ай бұрын
I tasted lamb a couple of times, hated it. It tastes funky, and not in a good way like Bootsy Collins kind of funky. I don't eat goat either (especially cabrito) for the same reason. Now I will never eat goat because they are my family and I love them dearly. I've been raising goats for 15 years to keep control of weeds and other flammable brush on our 20 acre mountain property. We had a massive wildfire in 2013, but thanks to our goats, our house (and us!) were safe and the fire burned all the way around us. Even the Fire Captain said, "Lady, your goats saved your ass!" There's no way I would ever eat our heroes who literally saved our lives!
@kiraeckard762511 ай бұрын
It helps to have someone be honest to you, but there is a way to do it without being rude. Like the little girl who gave that disgusted face and said it's dry immediately. And your husband could have absolutely not have been dramatic about spitting it out and saying it tastes like crap. "Realizing later" or not, it's not rocket science to know that what he said was rude af and only a moron would think saying something tasted horrible wasn't implying you did a horrible job. The math is pretty plain and linear on that one. Most people can tell when their own cooking isn't the greatest. Keep specific criticism to yourself unless explicitly asked and just eat the sides if the main dish sucks. This isn't a restaurant, you can't just get a new entree whipped up in 10 minutes. Home cooked meals are a big effort. Be appreciative.

The father is teaching his child that he can't take constructive criticism and that is okay to act out in violence when someone makes a comment he disagrees with. Just because he spent a lot of time cooking the Turkey doesn't mean he did a good job or that there isn't room for improvement. If he's not willing to learn to do better with the Turkey, they'll always be dry. She doesn't have to eat it and he could have just told her that instead of acting like a child who didn't receive the participation trophy he so desperately wanted 😬
