3:42 best graphics of a character I've ever seen on the Atari 2600! best pot color shading as well...

those are some sweet animations, it's not normal to see big characters looking so nice on the 2600 surprising that the games aren't total garbage, seeing as they're licensed and in a batch like that, I'd expect them to be more of a bland minigame collection--but actually 2600 games were almost always minigames, in a way, so games like this fit right in seems like they didn't put the controller to any real use though, except in the unreleased music game--that's kinda sad, that parents were made to buy an extra chunk of plastic when the normal joystick would probably have worked just fine

Those were my first games when I was 4 years old in 1988 and I still have those damn sounds in my head.

I played Alpha Beam With Ernie back in the day. I used the other Number pad that was Black.

I think I was maybe 5 or 6 when we got this.. almost wanna say we got 'em at a garage sale, but it's honestly way too far back to remember. I'm just pleased I found a great video review looking back at them, cause it's a fun bit of nostalgia even if I wouldn't want to play them again. To this day my brain still periodically kicks up the little ditty that plays in the Big Bird one, always with the delightful tone shift and a splat at the end.

I just picked up all 4 games at an auction yesterday They’re all loose cartridges with their manuals and each has one overlay, with Alpha Bean with Earnie having 2 overlays Haven’t played them yet Also came with 2 of the kid controllers

Good stuff, multiple series review, you should do more where you review all in a series! really fun and I like the laid back style if I have not said it before.

Those are some seriously good graphics of the Sesame Street characters. I mean they have actual personality, which is surprising for the 2600.

Great review, but it'd be cool to know what the other non-Sesame Street games were which were made for the controller yet not released.

Even though count’s castle wasn’t made they did make a sesame street nes game you play as him Sesame Street countdown

Maybes the Count game was going to be a rebranding of Basic Math(Fun With Numbers)?

Why didn't they do a Herry Monster game for the Atari 2600? That would have been awesome.

Thank God Elmo wasn't around back when these games came out. Then they would have had a game called, "Elmo Never Shuts the Fuck Up." Elmo is the Jar Jar Binks of Sesame Street.

Actually, Atari had a prototype for a game called "Bert & Ernie Kidnap And Rape Elmo And Give Him AIDS" in the late 80s, but ironically Elmo creator Kevin Clash put the kibosh on it because he thought it "not topical enough".

These games all suck, but I kind of like the Oscar The Grouch theme music--it's appropriately really turdy sounding.

+funkmike they were made for kids so they're gonna be kinda easy.
