Firstly, thank you professor for recording your lectures. I had a doubt in the last question of the post class test. Can you explain the rationale behind estimating reinvestment by multiplying the change in revenue and sales to capital ratio?

Prof Damodaran - would it not be better to use a top line number like revenue for growth rates, as it is much less noisy (lower SD)?

Also, with the asset light companies now reinvesting thru the income statement (R&D, marketing) how does that change the reinvestment rate and ROIC?
