I absolutely love the faces of the pastors when Hugh was giving the answers about Israel. Their faces of absolute amazement were exactly what my face was doing when I listened. Incredible. I want to wake my family up and tell them everything that we had wrong. I mean I grew up in church and we’re actually in the ministry for a while but I feel like this explanation was the truth I needed. Almost as if up to this point I’ve been eating candy and box meals but this is the Thanksgiving feast I’ve been longing for. (That last sentence was a little dramatic wasn’t it)

The man @ 55:55 asked a question "If demons can posses our bodies causing sickness, what is the mechanism that can cause the sickness? but Dr. Ross didn't answer that question, his answer was that for a different question. I myself would be interested in hearing the answer to the man @55:55's question. (I am not challenging Dr. Ross but he didn't answer that very interesting question, instead he answered a different question) . God bless

I often wondered "just how human are these Angles that take human form, or just how much of a snake or donkey are they when they take that form. The angels that ate supper with Abraham, did they have to go to the bathroom? but my main thought is " the fallen angels that mated with women and impregnated them etc. did those demons have DNA? did they take on human form right down to the DNA level?

I would think it would be by manipulation some biological mechanism that causes traditional sickness. Even if it is caused by demons, it wouldn’t be by some unknown spiritual cause since we have physical bodies. But it seems like getting sick by demon possession is not that common. But that is an interesting question I would further research into.

The mechanics are your lifestyle and/or generational curses. Example: substance abuse, sexual, physical, mental, verbal, etc abuses. Ignorance of a matter and especially WILLFUL ignorances of a matter. There is “illnesses” and then there’s what’s called “Infirmities”. Some illnesses are natural and can be linked to a source after runs of testing done by doctors, infirmities are brought on by the spiritual and cannot be explained by doctors and rarely are their physical sources to link that infirmity illness too. People (via demons) can bring about sickness through spells, curses, generational curses, witchcraft and voodoo, hexes, and opened doors and gateways like drugs and alcohol and even prescription dependency. Sometimes, having surgery done and being “put under” can be a door opening for demons to come and attach themselves to a person and bring about sickness rather mental or physical or both.

I like Hugh Ross, but I have been working on a theory and the Bible DOES say that aliens exist and Jesus died for them, too. Genesis 2:1 says that the whole Universe is inhabited and there is a part where Jesus says that He has sheep that are not of this fold, and the world, "fold" in Hebrew means the spherical nature of the Earth, so Jesus is actually saying that He has sheep that are from other planets. There is also a part where He says that He will redeem the entire Universe unto Himself.

Thats wishful thinking, I'd like to see life on other planets, even advanced societies but it just isn't so. The other fold were the non Jewish Israelites that left the area long before.

Dr. Ross says the earth was created with the foremost consideration for redemption. I don't understand this. God knew before we were created that we would be sinners and need redemption ? I've been told by people that we were born sinners, which is rediculous to me. I believe we are born innocent. Assuming that we sin or err and repent for it, what do we need to be redeemed for ?

Ok. a) read Romans 3:23 All have sinned b) read Psalm 51:5 David claims he was sinful at birth. David was lamenting because he had committed sexual sin. So is this literal? c) I'll paraphrase. In order to be in the presence of God you need to be "pure, Holy, sinless"" d) God's law is that the punishment for sin is death. It is blood that is the price to be paid. e) God so loved the world that he gave His son. He can NOT break His law. So, His son will shed blood and die in our place. That is, those that accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. f) ALL sins are washed away as if they never happened by the blood of the Cross!! Now, here's the deal. Some people think they are OK because they have not done this or that. I'm a "good" person is the common assertion. There are sins you know you did either by action or thought. There are sins (iniquities) you do not even know you did. If you think of murder you are guilty as if you actually did it. Not in the courts but in God's eye. If you look at a man with lust in your heart, you have committed adultery. That is the standard. Did you steal a paper clip from work? Did you think bad thoughts against another? Did you NOT love your neighbor? Did you not forgive someone who wronged you? His standards are extremely strict. These are all heart issues that he can see. He knew man would screw it up. He came up with a plan for the redemption of man before He created anything. His goal is to eradicate ALL evil. Then, Create a NEW heaven and Earth with no pain, suffering, no decay, etc. If you are not free to sin then you are a robot!! That is NOT love! It is by recognizing that you are a sinner AND need a redeemer (Christ) that is the key. God does not send anybody to hell. They choose not to spend eternity in His presence. FWIW - If you have had children then you know one of, if not the first word out of their mouth, can be "no" - rebellion!

@@judyhickman5831 OK Let's say you are going for your college degree. You take tests, write papers, etc. When you finish they hand you a piece of paper showing you completed your task and will never need to be tested again on that material. In school you learned "whatever". God has created a planetary home for us. He has a number in mind that will spend eternity with Him. It is a gazillion (a lot?). Everybody will test and write papers, so to speak, preparing for that day when they die and are told welcome good and faithful servant. They also will never be tested again. In life you learned that faith is a noun AND a verb. You believe AND you take action based on that belief. i.e. Pray, worship, study, love, give, care, grow, share, help, fellowship, express joy, etc. Happiness is based on "happenings" things are going good, you are happy. If they are not, you are not. Joy, Christian Joy, is a state of mind empowered by the Holy Spirit that bolsters you through both good and bad times. The rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous alike. Bad things happen to good people, Christian or not! We live in a fallen world. Looking forward to a new beginning. Redemption. I am in no way suggesting a works-oriented doctrine. We are saved by grace (unmerited favor), through faith in Jesus Christ. You (I) don't deserve it. You(I) did not earn it. God gives it to you as a believer. - freely. My analogy breaks down a bit but I hope you get the gist. Dr. Ross has KZbin videos, books, etc. I can give you links? As much as I like. Dr Ross' approach to faith and science issues, he is totally wrong in his eschatology on many counts, but basically the blindness for Zionism disallows him to see the "preterist" "all things fullfilled" reality which is clearly presented in the Scriptures. Pity. But he is still a brother. I was enamoured with earthly Zion as well but the Bible teaches that God's Zion is spiritual and it is Christ with us. Even his understanding of the 7th day of creation shows his mistake. The 7th day is not the thing of the future, but of the present that will never end. One enters the rest of God by faith. This is the Day of redemption, grace and judgement.

I think when we as Christians start picking each other apart is where new followers or people who want to follow Christ get deterred and pushed away.. I understand what your say.. basically him being a scientist kinda throws off the actual message from certain aspects of the Bible.. All I know is this.. Dr. Ross has written 20+ books. He doesn't make a dime off of this.
