I know by now on Patreon you should already have 2 or 3 episodes Ahead or you finished the full season by now and know some stuff but I just wanna enjoy this ride with you for you loved Rebels deep as I do. Just some context this is supposed to happen after Mandalorian 3. I think you might know better the work of HYUANG actor but so happy you recognize him right away. Was hoping you reacted a bit more to Ryder Azazi TBH but I know it's a lot of info very fast. Get ready for a lot of Good Old Rebel Sass.. like LOTS... Can't wait to episode 2... and 6...

Baylan Skoll, our bearded "We are no Jedi" man who rescued Morgan Elsbeth, is played by Ray Stevenson - who was also Volstagg, one of the "Warriors Three" in the Thor films in the MCU, and was in a fantastic HBO series called "Rome" about Julius Caesar. He sadly passed away quite unexpectedly shortly before "Ahsoka" premiered, and so this show is tragically his last performance. And what a performance it is! His character is magnificent and was instantly a fan favorite!

@@lucas.2.3.9.4 He was great as Black Beard. Black Sails is probably one of the best written and acted series I have ever seen. Nothing was said or shown without a reason. Some things in season 1 took until season 3 to come back around. They had a clear vision of what they wanted to do from beginning to end and executed it perfectly.

Congratulations on 100k subscribers! Well, we're finally here. The payoff to your investment in following Ahsoka's journey in the animated shows. You have quite the ride ahead of you. And in pretty much every episode there was at a minimum of one moment where I said to myself, "Jess is going to love that". I don't know if you appreciate how envious so many of us are of you, being able to jump straight from Rebels season 4 to the Ahsoka show. We've all had to wait 5 years to see the continuation of this story. And the anticipation has been something else, ever since Ahsoka said Thrawn's name in Mandalorian season 2. I really loved how Lothall was realized in live action. It looked exactly the way it should. I think I actually squealed out loud when I saw Clancy Brown as Ryder Azadi, reprising his animated role in live action. And Sabine's lothcat is totally animatronic. No CGI involved. And I'm particularly glad that you have managed to avoid certain casting announcements. The casting for Sabine was announced at Star Wars celebration 2021, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead confirmed to be attached in an unknown role. Winstead was confirmed as Hera right around the time you started watching Rebels. And good ear in immediately recognizing David Tennant reprising his daytime Emmy award-winning role as Huyang. That's another piece of casting that was announced well in advance. Tennant was not on set during filming, but he pre-recorded all of his lines in advance so the actors would have his performance to play off. I can't wait for your next reaction. And the next. And the next...
@madelinegarber78606 ай бұрын
I freaked out at Rider too. And yeah I watched Rebels in 2020 so I had to wait 3 years. But man was it worth the wait! I followed the casting announcements too.

I loved what you had to say about validating the animated shows, especially Rebels since I agree it's one of my favourite things Star Wars has put out ever. It does make sense as well since Dave Filoni created The Clone Wars, Rebels and Ahsoka so there'll be lots of references and follow through from all these shows.
@johnmiller76826 ай бұрын
I'm so glad you waited. You're one of my favorite reactioners. I like being able to watch this again, with you. Everyone was doing it, when it first came out, or just after it was over, and that was a little overload. Just remember, you do you, and that's why we love your channel.
@lordofninjas16 ай бұрын
To answer the question you had at the beginning, this show is taking place about 4 years after the epilogue in Rebels and about 5 years after Return of the Jedi, so it is around the same time as the Mandalorian and some time after Ahsoka's episodes in Mandalorian. Also yes, the droid helping Ahsoka is Huyang, the Lightsaber droid from back in Clone Wars and yes they did get David Tennant back to continue voicing him. Also, bit of a fun fact, the older guy talking on Lothal is Ryder Azadi from Rebels, played by his actual voice actor Clancy Brown. the 2 Lightsaber users at the beginning are Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. Both continue Dave Filoni's love of wolves and wolf imagery as Skoll and Hati are two wolves in Norse Mythology that chase after the Sun and Moon. Also, while it is a bit difficult to tell at times, their Lightsabers are orange, not red. Also also, the actor for Baylan, Ray Stevenson, passed away shortly after filming for the show finished, and the credits for the first episode have a dedication to him at the end. Finally, it has recently been confirmed that Ahsoka will be getting a Season 2 at some point in the near future. It'll be exciting to see what they do with it.

Personally I like the show. It does feel like a standard Dave Filoni Star Wars show where the beginning can be a bit uneven but gets better as it progresses. I love how it leaned into Star Wars’ Akira Kurosawa and fantasy inspirations. It’s good to see the returning characters but I also really like new ones like Baylan Skoll. Ray Stevenson did a wonderful job portraying an interesting antagonist and it’s a shame Stevenson is no longer with us.

Do u remember the Mando S2 n “Book of Boba Fett”, the assassin Fenecc Shand got shot by a blaster a perfect clean shot that passed through her stomach in milliseconds n all her organs were replaced by robotics. What are the chances of Sabin survival u say? Or will she just walk it off after a day in the hospital. People complain about Sabine surviving getting stabbed but there are clear differences from Qui Gon's wound. She was stabbed in the side while he was run right through the middle which would sever the spine. And lightsabers definitely affect flesh differently than metal doors otherwise Anakin and Luke would spontaneously combust when they lost their hand. So the fact that she took the wound to the side means she could survive if she got medical attention immediately. Meanwhile Obi-wan had to deal with Maul while Qui Gon layed on the ground for ten minutes dying. The Grand Inquisitor and Reva survived for the same reason Maul did so they get a pass as well. The dark side refused to let them die. Also the Grand Inquisitor had hacks since he had two stomachs. People also complain that this show is more forced on girl power despite the fact that the other male protagonists from rebels are either dead, missing in action, or doing their own thing while being unaware of what's going on here. Plus girl power doesn't really apply here. Ahsoka, Sabine, and Herra have other shows behind them for their development. Especially Ahsoka. She can get away with whatever the hell she wants because she's literally seen it all. Sabine was kind of done dirty though because her character seems pretty off from the last time we saw her
