An analysis of the dynamics between the players (across the series): First, Horne + Watto: these two arguably engage on a slightly less chaotic level than the other two combos. It's telling that Key is in the other two, but also worth noting that Horne can be pretty chaotic himself, and Watto even more so. At any rate, these two like to commiserate when Key is being particularly unruly. [And on a sidenote, while all three are chaotic, I think unruly (in the best possible way) is the word for Key. While Horne integrates wry smiles, confused scowls and absurd humor into a respectably deadpan facade, and the lovable Watto bounces merrily about (or goes into deep-thinking mode when things get fiddly), Key's style seems to be sitting back with a beer, delivering quips in a theatrical manner, and alternating between staring into the souls of his fellow players, antagonizing them or bursting into guffaws (which either manifest as hoo-hoo-hoos or silent fits of mirth). I've gone through phases of each one being my favorite, and I must say it's a case of Key at the moment. It really does rotate though.] Next dynamic, Key + Horne: as an example of his unruliness, Key is rather rude to Horne a lot of the time (I won't say "needlessly rude" because it's done in the service of friendly banter and it, when you think about it, makes me guffaw). Horne returns the banter in no uncertain terms. Watto is largely exempt from this more hostile dynamic, and usually laughs good-naturedly during their sparring matches. On a separate note, these two appear to be the beer drinkers of the trio, with Watto standing out as a wine man. Finally, Key + Watto: these two are liable to burst into song together at any moment, with a possible trend of Key starting a song, Watto repeating it, but Key overlapping with an alternative version/second verse. These sing-songs often prompt annoyed looks and narrowed eyes from Horne. Watto is delightfully amused by Key's antics in general, and enables him by laughing and backing him up when he's being particularly unruly (I know I said Watto and Horne commiserate when Key is unruly; when you really stop and think about it, these men are complex).

Pretty dominant performance from Watto there in set 5. When you really think about it, Key's had a bit of a shocker of a set, it's getting desperate when you're calling Mane very slim. Steve Davis in his prime was very slim, Mane is not. Nice to see that Watson's boy was out twice in the set, that's an Andy Zaltzman like dedication to statistics there.
