First remove all wires except power wires, then check if the LED fading happens, then there is fault in the board, if not, then connect the wires one by one and check.

this is a single audio track module, there are other modules for multitrack. mp3 modules available for arduino, where you can upload mp3 tracks from pc and play via arduino or nodemcu
