I've found that the easier way to raise it is to turn it over and push the thing in the middle on the left and on the right side, then, it goes smoothly with no effort. Wish it was in the instruction.

Most footrests in the market are only 17 inch. I heard that this is 22inches. Could you double check that for us?

Kensington premium is 17 inch, the solemate is 22 inches.
