Hey, thanks for sharing, I appreciate it. I wrote this song about 5 years ago I think and am pleased to say I've reached the 8 month sober mark. I believe getting and staying sober is a process, it's a massive learning curve and requires a lot of change and a lot of inner strength. I hope this song helps people to realise that they aren't alone. Cheers

nestor maltos No, it's just 3am here and while drunk listening to music I felt like posting something about how I related to what I was listening to personally in the comment section. Found this song two weeks ago. I was drinking a bottle of hard spirits at least three nights a week, and drinking the other days too, never alone, so it's not a problem right? I've always drunk a lot, I love a party, so much so that it's probably been what I'm most well known for since I was about 14 (I'm 22 now.) However, lately it's hit a new level, I've started getting hangovers, sleeping all day; told myself it was because I wasn't a teenager anymore. Then I was lying in bed, too drunk and high, scrolling on youtube while my friends had fun downstairs, and I happened upon this song. It hit me in a very funny way. I cried. I sobbed. I didn't immediately change, but I sure felt different. Over the past 14 days I've gotten blackout drunk once (and I hated it), my body hated it, my mind hated it. I haven't cut out alcohol completely, I'm going out tonight and I'll have a few glasses of wine, but how different I feel about it. Sleeping pattern fixed, I'm productive and happier than I have been for years - after only fourteen days. Thank you for posting this. Thanks KZbin for suggesting this right when I needed it. (also thank you for reading this, no idea why I felt compelled to write an essay!!) I have a problem, I will control it and it won't kill me. much love.
