Ahh, the suit-in-a-hot-room expectation brings me back: For one of the many shows I've music directed, it was useful to preserve a certain illusion of formality -- but the room we were in had a corrugated tin roof, baked in the southern California summer. So it was warm. Luckily, I was only visible from the waist up, so I played piano and conducted the orchestra in a tail coat, with white tie -- while my tuxedo shirt was tucked into gym shorts for the entire 10-week run.

I hope Seth never leaves Late Night! I don't want him to get the tonight show because of how strict it is. If seth wasn't doing Late Night, I would hope it he would get like Late Late Show(Craig Ferguson style) or a Jimmy Kimmel Live style show. Because James Corden plays it safe(He isn't Craig), and Jimmy Fallon plays it safe(Tonight Show is strict). But like Kimmel, Ferguson, Conan, and Seth, they like to push things and screw around a lot, which is why I watch them. I don't know what category to put Colbert in. Maybe same one as Maher, and Jon Stewart? Basically Seth is amazing at what he does!

@@debbiedoodiedandi Well Lorne is going nowhere anytime soon. I have heard people say Lorne intends to die in Studio 8H producing SNL. He will never retire. Seth is signed through until near the end of 2025 so we have at least 2 to 3 more years of him on Late Night at least. Jimmy Fallon is also signed to 2025, and no one has mentioned the fact it is possible for Seth to become the next host of the Tonight Show. Fallon put in only five years in Late Night before he became the Tonight Show host. Seth is there much longer, and it is natural to bring the Late Night host to the Tonight Show (Letterman excluded of course).
