Dude that sub shop down the road is about to get richhhh! I went to berm park yesterday and then the sub shop and everyone there was a mountain biker. Owner is a mensch and ships bread in from NYC. He cares so much about his shop and takes so much pride in what he does I can't wait for that place to get national recognition just like the bike park!

I'll be honest, I teared up watching this video. It's so impressive how far this adventure has taken you, us as viewers, and the lucky ones who now get to ride the trails that you and your friends have built for everyone to see. While this feels like the climax to such a wonderful adventure, I know that this is yet again a new beginning, a new adventure just waiting to be carved out by shovels and machinery. I'm in Rome Georgia right now, which is only a few short hours away, and as much as I hate to say it, its probably as clost as I''ll ever be to Berm Park with my bike. I graduate from college in two uncomfortably short days, and after that I'm almost certainly moving a few states away, or totally cross country. I know you'll probably never even see this, but I do truly want you to know that you've inspired me to take better care of myself, my bike, and my friends, as stupid as that sounds. Congrats Seth! I was thinking about a project along the lines of this, Iowa’s mountain biking scene is probably one of the worst out of all of the states. By building a park in Iowa you could introduce mountain biking to tens of thousands! In a place that doesn’t even have mountains!

Hey Seth! We've just managed to get a pump track installed in my town in England, called Liscard, and it's brilliant! It was an idea I put forward to the council in a 'regeneration of the town' plan, as really theres not much for people to do here- Its amazing that now people have something free to do close to home, and it's thanks to projects like yours that the council would even consider it! I will definitely be putting forward more ideas, and I hope that we can get something as cool as a full bike park with features like drops, upboxes and big jumps one day, but even just for now, the help that people like you have provided for people all across the world is incredible! Thanks, and keep doing what you do!

Well, only took this patreon until 2024 to try out Berm Park, the backcountry trails and the sub shop. This place is awesome for the area and available terrain and features. Seth We are stationed in Italy and I just so happened to be in the upstate of South Carolina in April. I couldn’t make opening weekend, but went up solo the following weekend. It’s amazing! I had a blast riding with young and old. I got to work on my jumping on high roller. Keep up the great work!

I attended the ceremony the day before and in Seth's speech, the most impassioned part was telling the audience that the people who contributed to this project are all over the world; some of them will never be able to even visit the park. Ever. But the Patreon community that supported Seth's vision made this happen! This is one of the most inspiring stories of one man's vision and a community made up of mostly strangers coming together to make it happen. Congratulations!

It was a great day for mtbing and Canton! I have ridden at Berm Park 5 times since opening day! One point, in 2006 Canton, Southern Appalachian Higlands Conservancy, the Haywood County Health Dept., and Trail Dynamics partnered to build 2.5 miles of mtb trails on Canton's old watershed property, Rough Creek. My wife, riding @2.11-14 in the video wrote and managed the grant that provided funding for that project. It is awesome to see Canton and mtbing taking it to a whole new level through Seth's awesome involvement and dream!

Found out about your channel last year when I sold you my wife's old Specialized bike. You featured it on Flip Bike a while back. Anyhow, love your channel and love the fact that you made Berm Park happen. We moved to the area last year (Waynesville) and it's so cool to see good stuff happening in Haywood Co. We drove past the grand opening, and it was popping! Our little one is only 2, so probably not the place for her yet. Looking forward to future development on Chestnut Mountain, especially some good hiking trails.

It would be awesome if you put together a playlist on the back story, dealing with developing cooperation with the various agencies, donors, how the vision for the park was developed. I can see mountain bike clubs taking the videos to their own local cities, government agencies and businesses to show the value that a bike park can bring to a community.
