I loved Cody and his reaction. That young man knows how hard it is to earn a dollar and the value of that dollar and him having pride in buying his own things...that just made all the difference. Thanks Seth for helping this young man out. Not saying anything against the other boy...but the gratitude was clearly visible on Cody.

I belong to a bike Co-op that gives away bikes to anyone 16 and under and teaches the rest how to set up and fix their bike at reduced costs. I pick up nice used bikes in the suburbs and donate them to the co-op on the weekends. The smile of joy and freedom on the children's faces is priceless. It is also a great to pick up parts for repairs and upgrades. Keep up the good work.

I can appreciate your motivation, Seth. I gave bikes to my best employees when they were leaving (for positive reasons like graduate school, marriage, etc.), and it was worth the look on their faces when they found them at their desks! I'm retired now, but Cody and Blaine remind me of those gems, the rare truly deserving ones. Keep up the good work!

I like this. We need more kids doing their own maintenance. My dad used to get upset, opening the garage door when he wanted to park his truck, me not realizing it was already 6pm+ while my BMX bike was in pieces on rainy evenings in Oregon. Being able to take something apart and build it back up cleaner, better, faster; is a skill you can carry throughout your life. Not just with bikes.

You're a good man, Seth. I started watching your videos some years ago (your channel had a different name back then) and among the first videos was when you did up a bike and gave it away to a boy about 12 who spent his spare time doing up bikes in a charity workshop. They'd put bikes together into rideable shape and give them to those who couldn't afford to buy one. I can even remember his reaction when he took the bike out of the box. He just stood there with his mouth open, pointed to himself, and managed to say, 'Words aren't working'. It was your kindness that got me to subscribe. Your kindness continues.

To do this, Mr. Alvo is nothing short of spectacular. I will think often of what you did for these deserving young men with great pleasure. Also, a shout-out to the parents of these young men, who brought them up right. You, sir, are the salt of the earth, anyone calling you a friend has something worth more than gold and silver. Major props to you, Seth. Best thing I learned from your channel is that you don’t need to have everything under the sun to make a bike work. I have a hardtail that I’ve beaten, abused, butchered, and hacked all sorts of upgrades over the last 4 years. I finally got a new bike, so I’ll be retiring my hardtail within the next year or two. I’ll probably do something like this.

I recently gotten back into biking, I have an old mountain bike I used for commuting to and from college, but over the past few years i had collected dust and rust, as i wasn't good at maintaining it. Thanks to these videos I have learned a lot about maintaining and repairing my old bike, Took me a couple of weeks and a few new parts, but I finally got it working to a point that it again can take me to and from work, as well as riding the local trails. Still got some work to do on it to get it into top shape, but it has been a great project to tinker with during my free time! Thank you for making these amazing videos and I hope you keep up the good work!

Nice. I recently unloaded some items on FB. Baby crib went to a pregnant young lady. Medical cooling device that pumps ice water through a shoulder harness went to a senior man. He was a veteran and worked on the auto assembly line. He was having chronic shoulder pain from repetitive use. They were both really happy about getting these items. It was really great to see these things go to people who really needed and appreciated them. They were just wasting space at my house.
