3:36 "The Synth is starting to wake up" is a very fitting observation to make OOC seeing how Celeste uses the synth as leitmotif for Badeline, who awakens this chapter.

Celeste is a very interesting game, both musically and in terms of what it sets out to do as a game. It handles it's story with amazing care for as simple as it is. Most of the tracks are a reflection of the character Madeline in the cover art, and whom you control in game. The Time Rifts mentioned in AHIT are a great comparison because almost every track in game works like this. In game, this track is actually broken down into 5 parts, and depending on where you are in that point in the stage it will loop that section of the track (outside the final section). So in reality as a player, you might not hear this full track perfectly without loops like it is on the OST itself. I will say this 2nd half did cause me to die once or twice just due to jamming out to the music.

There are some games that everyone knows by the quality of the game that are surprisingly underplayed. Games like System Shock 2 and Marathon. Celeste probably isn't as underplayed as those are, its probably in hollow knight and slay the spire territory but sometimes you just know a game is quality from the routine praise it'll get

I know I'm a little late to the party but at 9:40 -ish when it starts fading, that's actually how the song transitions over several screens. I got goosebumps when I heard this playing the first time - it felt like I was escaping from a nightmare, where every step I took lessened its grip on me. By the end the song becomes very faint and indistinct, but it's a powerful way of associating what was chasing you to proximity to danger.

Celeste is a phenomenal game. It’s a platformer and has some of the greatest music I’ve ever heard in any video game I’ve ever played I’d definitely recommend listening to some more Celeste. Some other really great music from the game is “Reach For The Summit” and “Farewell”

One of the great things Celeste does really well is that the music reflects on Madeline's mental state at the time, becoming fast and erratic as panic starts to set it and calmer and quiet during moments of peace.

Celeste is a 2D platformer, where you control Madeline in her quest to climb Celeste mountain. Your tools are your Dpad, Jump, dash and grab. Sound simple, right? Well, there's more to just "climbing a mountain" as there's more to "just 3 action buttons". Following the story chapters is well within the casual player skill. The soundtrack is amazing and follow where Madeline is at the moment; location wise and mentally wise. In each stage you can find a secret zone with a rythm plataforming challange where you can find a Cassette with an alternative version of the bgm of the stage, and it includes an alternative version of the stage too! Those are remixes made by other compossers. And it's like they were required to be all bangers, because the "B-Sides" take several levels in dificulty, so you are going to listen to those tracks a lot.

Couldn't help but smile when I saw this. Celeste is one of my favourite games of all time, so I knew I was in for a treat. Lena's music is absolutely amazing. Celeste is a precise pixel platforming game where you climb a mountain. It's difficult, but very fair, and has been described as "the hardest game that anyone can beat". Pretty art, beautiful music, fun gameplay... I could go on forever about how much I adore this game haha (many others are in the same boat) Farewell & Scattered and Lost are my favourite tracks from the OST, but Resurrections is definitely up there. I do hope people request more music from Celeste, because the whole soundtrack is a delight.

Speaking of finding communities. It's interesting looking at your videos page. Because I look at it and see a definite leaning towards certain genres. There are definitely many communities and styles of ost you haven't heard yet. I suppose these are the types of games the audience you've cultivated loves and wants to see you listen to. And more power to them and you tbh.

What I love about this song (and why it reminds me of the rift songs in A hat in time) is because it feels like you're just drifting. Celeste deserves a full blown long video, with reaction to ALL the ost. Just do it imo. its amazing. Something you will not regret for sure. The amount of care in it, in the leitmotifs and the levels in which music is portrayed is at times mindblowing. It also achieves wonders if you take into account how powerful and dynamic the emotions are in these songs and how they directly tie into the gameplay seamlessly. Just perfection, nothing more nothing less.

You talked about how this is one of those songs that makes you just sorta stop and take it in, whether playing the game or just listening, and honestly man? That's nearly every song in this game. Every damn song this game has is a hit, you could listen to literally any of them and you wouldn't go wrong. You need to hear the whole thing, and the B-sides, and the DLC soundtrack too, every last one of them is required listening for anyone who reacts to video game music. I've never heard an OST quite like Celeste's, the whole thing is magical.

Celeste is a 2D platformer, but not in a rompy Mario style, its a challenging but accessible platformer closer to the vein of Super Meat Boy, which I forget if it was covered on the channel, but you've definitely covered music by Super Meat Boy's composer Danny Baranowsky (of Binding of Isaac and Crypt of the Necrodancer fame). Celeste's soundtrack is incredible and it instantly made Lena one of my favorite game composers!

I've listened to this ost, it's very good and this song is one of the most well known songs from the ost. I did feel like I was missing something when I went through the soundtrack though, my personal guess is I just don't have that emotional connection to the music like others do. It starts off with the creation of a cool atmosphere, the progression does remind me of Minecraft which is interesting since the composer has composed music for Minecraft. There's an ominous energy at the start which is good; I really like the chords in this song and it builds tension super well. This song progresses super well and I like the determined tension it has. I like the transition into the more reflective feel that comes right after. The part right after is probably my favorite part, the more intense bass sounds frantic. Lot's of great scales too, I think the composer is known for using a keyboard for most of their music so it makes sense. The final transition where the good feels fade out is awesome and it starts sounding very sinister which probably signifies Badeline.
