I've been watching ALL of Inge Hansesaetre's E46 ESS "SETRA Motorsports" footage ever since I saw Misha @ Apex go for a lap in it with Inge. I've watched it probably 100 times this month studying his approach to the track and how he uses his car to it's ALL OUT potential while being a master at keeping under control. AMAZING talent you have Mr. Hansesaetre and choice of car! My favorite car ALL TIME. E46 M3! THANKS for the videos Inge! You are an absolutely MONSTER behind that wheel and it's a joy to watch!

So what day was this? I did July 13 and 14th track days. 22 laps and 19 laps, good to see I did not get in the way this lap. March 11, 2017 the Ring was open, one week before advertised date. !! ? 242 laps from june 16 - July 23 , no crash, once in a life time. and oh yeah, nice lap.

I suspect that he was adjusting for the attitude of the car in mid corner, probably mostly to dial out understeer when he was a bit too hot going in.

Wow with such a long clutch travel and shift times, even for a manual 'handicap', there is a lot of room for drive improvement that could knock another 10sec or so off this time. The car seems to be tuned well, but there's room to work with on the foot work to improve shift times. Nice setup on the car for sure!

10secs is a big call. Could you please go into more detail. I'm certain the tuner and driver would be very interested if you can enlighten them? A 3rd opinion always helps. Where do you see his footwork is lacking? The up or down shifts or the braking? Thanks.

You are correct. There's certainly time to be gained by faster shift. However I have very worn syncros on my transmission now, so lately I have to use some extra time to make sure it's in gear before I release the clutch pedal. Regards Inge

Kr Dz yeah that's perfectly fine but consider this. Gantry to bridge takes upto a minute to complete, your stock e36 will be finishing the lap at over 8:30 minutes roughly

Kr Dz sorry I meant gantry to start/finish takes upto a minute. A btg lap and a full lap is very different. Your stock e36 will never do a full lap of 7:16
