Thank you for posting this! I wasn't sure how to toggle between standard and sound reactive settings using a single ESP controller. And now I realize it is just the selection made in the features tab. So simple!

Good job! Appreciate the no bs way you created it. Most of the time I'll look for written instructions because videos are oriented towards the noob. It's going over things I already know. It's takes up a lot tons of time and jumping ahead isn't always reliable. This wasn't bad at all. Thanks

Great tutorial 👌 Handy little tip... you can use a putty (here in AU we have Blu-Tack) to temporarily hold the board and wires while soldering. I use this trick all the time for electronics repairs and assembly

This is the best barebones get to the point get it done video tutorial I've seen on wled. Hard to believe the view count is as low as it is

Thanx Anthony. This got me up and running in about 30 mins. Very clear tutorial. I really like the RGB ring light. Where did you get it? What is the model?

That’s cool, would look amazing with a difuser and maybe a 3d printed housing. Awesome tho

Good video...cowboy with the soldering tho lol

Nothing wrong with his soldering in my opinion. Actually, the way he put things together shows he has lots of experience but was trying to get it done quickly for a short vid. He quickly got everything done and it worked great. He even was careful to make sure the solder flows properly. Not like it's some mission critical install. When you have experience you can afford to cowboy around.

what are the differences in using this mic vs a analog?

Can you have 2 led strips and have only one (or a section) react to music and leave the other in a different animation or do i need 2 esp32’s?
@brakthehun Жыл бұрын
Yeah,, use segments.

Nice one! Wondering if any custom PCBs/3Dprinting can help with any upcoming projects? Would love to realize any YT collab together. (PCBWay zoey)

When you refer to the pins to connect the mic are you talking about the actual pins on the board or the gpio number pins? I originally used an analog mic, which worked at first and then mysteriously stopped working after a few uses. I have had absolutely no luck whatsoever getting the digital i2s mic working. Ive tried different pins and im getting nothing. I even tried another mic.

With the ESP32,, the board pins are the same as the gpio. This is sort of an outdated video now. It's now a setup in usermod with the latest wled.

@brakthehun thanks for the reply. On my board the gpio pin numbers are different from the actual pin numbers. I'm thinking maybe I somehow damaged my board and that's why my sound reactive isn't working. I dont know what else to try.

This might sound silly but my settings don’t show a “Sound Settings” option at all 🥺 12:07
