I couldn't find the video about you thinking about changing the engine in a 4020 using one from a combine so I will comment on it here, If I am not mistaken I thought you said that they quit building the 4020 in 1968 or 69, I looked it up, 1964 until 1972.

I have a old jd bachoe with poor hydraulic power, does adjusting the destroke screw more in give you less flow or more, I want to increase hydraulic Pressure, I will check the pressure before adjusting

I have a John Deere 4440 quad range that will drive in all its gears but doesn’t have all its power when I put a load on it it doesn’t have the power to move. I blew a line on the right (passenger side) replaced it and ever since it hasn’t ran right. Do you have even suggestions on how to trouble shoot the issue? Thanks in advance

If the engine does not pull down and you feel like you're getting clutch slip, then I would first change the hydraulic filter, check the trans pump pressure I think off the top of my head its 80psi, then check the clutch valve body, the clutch valve or valve spring could be broken. Ok, I changed the filter still no luck. I will look at valve body and check the pressure. I appreciate your fast response and love the videos

I found a vid by a youtuber DieselFume1 JD4630/4430 PTO valve body repair, It will give you a good idea what you are looking at if you need it to tear in to the valve body. I keep thinking from what you describe it could be a problem with the in transmission pump, I wouldn't think the clutch is bad. Best of luck, as always any questions I'll do my best to help.

I have added shims to the clutch valve body and it did not increase my psi it’s sits around 140 to 148 psi at 1000 rpm and only increase to 152 psi at 2100 rpm’s I changed oil filter and checked the screen again and it looked fine any tips or suggestions on why after adding shims nothing has changed? That might actually just be something broken in the valve body witch could be a cheap fix, If the valve body casting is ok. Did you check the trans pump pressure, I was thinking about making a quick video about that. Sometimes its the littlest things that can really stump a guy, I know just about everything I work on is that way, LOL.

I would first check for leaks, their is a small hard line under the hydraulic pump that sometimes comes loose. If you're leak free you might need to have your steering box rebuilt.
