Ryan, Ali's body build is one BIG MUSCLE. She can probably kick the crap out of you. Just make sure your video camera isn't rolling when she does! Both you and Ali have wonderful personalities. It's very refreshing, almost like a breath of fresh air, seeing both of you together. I'm sure there are plenty of wrestling matches between the both of you, that is edited out of your video, but hey, anyone that is in a relationship with another, will most definitely have their share of disappointments, arguments and on occasion, their small cage of rage fights! Keep the awesome videos coming our way, also. I shared one of your videos with my neighbor and now he is pissed at me. He works from home and told me the other day he couldn't stop watching your videos! All the best to you and Ali, and be safe on the open roads. Drivers texting while shoving wads of McDonald fries into their mouths is not a good mix! They tend to run us road cyclists completely over without notice. "Hmmm, I didn't notice a bump in the road?" I heard of an individual that extends a bike flag, four feet, from the side of his recumbent cycle . This way it forces drivers to keep that distance from him. If they choose not to heed the bike flag they will personally score the side of their vehicle. Boo, hoo, and too bad for them. Motorists can be sons of beeatches to us road cyclists! Well, I better get going after those last comments. I don't want to start a KZbin riot between motorists and cyclists. Best, Frado
@duzer6 жыл бұрын
Frado! First off, tell your neighbor I'm sorry for keeping him from work, ha! Second, you are right, Ali can whoop my butt :) The ride across the USA with Ali has been amazing, and yes, we have our tough moments...but we just talk things out, hug, and move on. Haven't had any cage fights yet, but I'll try and live stream it when it happens :) Thanks for watching our videos and have a great day!

I hope one day I will be fortunate to ride my bike or rent a bike to ride around Boulder, Colorado. My home city of Rochester, NY has finally made the list of the 50 best cycling friendly cities in the USA.
@TheRhino7116 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes all of my friends who cycle advise me to go. If you ever come to Rochester, NY metropolitan area to use the Erie Canal Trail or Genesse Valley Trail hit me up. I would love to join you for a ride. I could ask my cycling buddies if they would like to join in the fun. Next summer I plan to ride from Rochester to Buffalo, NY on the Erie Canal Trail since there are wonderful villages to visit and there are two legal camp area for commuters. I can only pull this off with the right gear, and my new Cyclocross bike I’m saving up for. Unfortunately I’ll have to use bike bags to stuff my necessities. I’m learning how to be like a minimalist on the bike. I’m kind of like that at home. I only have what I need with a few materialistic things. I believe to not replace something if it’s not broken or worn out yet. I only upgrade if it will benefit myself. As Dave Ramsey says, “ Live like no one else and be weird”! We will have more money and ignore what our broke friends laugh at.
@garyives12185 жыл бұрын
you'll totally make it there some day! I had wanted to ride up a 14,000ft mountain in CO for over 20 years but finally, after so many years of keepin the dream alive, did it
@TheRhino7115 жыл бұрын
Gary Ives thank you for the encouragement🙂 I’m glad my brother is supportive to let me stay with him when I’m ready to ride 74 miles to his house. Hopefully in less than 10 years I’ll have the courage and fitness to ride in Colorado. Upstate /western NY has some pretty gnarly hills to prepare on. I heard some pros or even just cycling enthusiasts travel to the Fingerlakes Region of NY to train on the hills.

yeah, I saw their route going through northern IL when they announced their ride. I lived in Rockford (now liking AZ) and in season would drive out to Jo Davies county (Galena) once or twice a month to experience some hills. It looks like they were heading near there? Guess I'll find out as I continue watching these vids. I really miss that gorgeous rural hilly Mississippi river bluff terrain. Oh... and the first time I rode out there was my first taste of gravel which was a total surprise, and I loved it, even though it involved steep ( 8-9% was really steep for me at the time) gradients which gave my 25 mm tires the slip...…it felt so freakin epic. On another ride in the same area my rear derailleur cable broke and I fenagled a piece of cable to coax the derailleur onto a large rear cog :)
