Thanks so much for the advice and tips. I did this to my TPS for my 2009 rmk 700 it worked really well and saved me lots of time and money. Thanks a lot again!👍🏼

great vid bro. about to adjust/calibrate tps on my 2014 pro rmk with the help of this video and another one. one thing I found interesting, was my manual, it suggests introducing a 12 VDC battery to charge the system, while in your video, you introduced 5 VDC. Will this affect the readings from the multimeter when checking the TPS? hope that made sense

It’s very likely that yours is different… I am not sure how different but it is 12 years newer that mine. Does it give a procedure in the manual?

Instead of doing voltage, couldn't you do resistance?
@MrNcotton Жыл бұрын
You would need to know the current, then you would have to back figure based on voltage and current to get resistance. I’m not sure why one would do this, the spec is not written in ohms.

Where do i find the correct voltage i have to adjust mine to? Got a polaris rmk 600 ho 2008
@MrNcotton Жыл бұрын
You will need to check the service manual for your exact sled, you could also call your local dealer and they should be able to tell you that specification.

A good aftermarket tool is not that expensive and makes it even easier, especially if you do this often. Example showing the same plug as this TPS: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqauqmh-pZlsbLc

Matt, I totally agree! Sometimes people don't want to spend the $160 to do this job once. I had all of the materials readily available and was able to accomplish what I needed the same day without waiting for the tool and spent a lot less. One the flip side, if you are doing this often, absolutely the tool is the way to go and would be worth the investment at that point.

@@MrNcotton quick tip, use your meter to check the output of your USB wall wart. They are often 5v-ish, not bang on 5v. Once you know the input voltage, you can do some math to calculate the proper output voltage for your input voltage.

No worries @MrNcotton, Matt is a shill for TPS tool

Would I be able to just loosen the screws, adjust it then test drive to see if it is better
@MrNcotton Жыл бұрын
I do not recommend doing that.

I mean it’s possible you get lucky and get it close enough but not recommend…. You want it right in spec.
