Just food for thought when it comes to snakes, as a snake owner that is. Might be a good idea to cover 3 sides or everything but the front. Having that much open area around them can make them stressed more than we know. Not all snakes but just some good for thought. I know it helped my boy a lot :) cute snake though!

glad that you’ve recognized that - i would try calling around to local shelters, even posting something on craigslist, but make sure that you screen the new owners beforehand! Maybe there are even some facebook groups that you could join and see if anyone local could take them!

That awkward moment when you discover your Milk snake is a Coral Snake..... Im joking. I'm from the U.K and since a very young age I was a herp enthusiast. I knew about the rhyme for the banding regarding Milk snake and Coral snakes. "Red and Black.... you're ok Jack, Red and Yellow... kill a fellow" Not sure how accurate it is, but I loved it and checked your milksnakes banding order by habit ha ha ha ha.

Great video, have watch a few of your videos and have enjoyed them. I have a Central American Wood Turtle and having trouble getting her to eat, I got her about 6 weeks ago and she ate at first but lately she has stopped, I keep fresh food in there all the time. Temp is 80-85 , she seems healthy, goes in her water and baskes under the uvb light. Any suggestions...thanks...Ralph

@ShellyTheTurtle2 жыл бұрын
Also will a 20 gallon tank or a 40 gallon tank fit a milk snake for the rest of their lives
@nightinggale64702 жыл бұрын
Yes to your first question. A halogen flood bulb connected to a dimmer or dimming thermostat is ideal. Regarding your second question: it depends on the species, but with most species, no. The enclosure should be at least as long as the snake. Adult milk snakes typically need a 4x2x2’ enclosure or larger.
