@ToriLynnPPH4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that’s possible. It’ll need a lot of reinforcement though so you’ll need tons of zip ties. Your best bet would be to get the metal ones too, since it’s for chinchillas.

To connect critter nation cages just take out the side panels of where you want to connect them and push the cages together and zip tie them and then put the tops on the cages.

i am a bit confused. with the expense of these cages why is the middle one having issues standing up straight?
@xradelox4 жыл бұрын
The middle one is lacking the sides on the bottom level. She took them out so that the pigs’ cage can be the expanse of all three cages. But the two end cages each have one side panel on the bottom to fully enclose the guinea pigs.
@ToriLynnPPH4 жыл бұрын
Exactly what xradelox said. I took out the sides which compromises the structural integrity of the cage. :) Zip ties have held them together just fine for years, and all the single units don’t need any extra support at all.

I’m curious as to why you flipped them? Is there a reason for that? Really enjoy your channel! I’ve learned so much and love seeing your babies everyday 😍
@ToriLynnPPH7 жыл бұрын
There’s a few reasons for it! The smaller pets need more cage decor than the pigs and it’s really difficult to do that on the bottom level. The pigs also were getting very brave and trying to stand on the side of the cage when they were excited, so them being lower to the ground is safer. I also want to give Finn a proper heating set up next summer which I can’t do from inside the cage so I’ll have to put it on top (: There’s a few others but those are the basics haha!
@Rachel-wg9co7 жыл бұрын
There’s also a vent under the cages, which she needed to cover up because the hamsters and the tenrec needed more heat, so having the piggies on the bottom will give them a cool breeze and she won’t need to cover it

I just bought a single critter nation with stand new for 112 on ferret.com and they had the doubles for 159. From my research that is a good deal. The ferret nation singles were 97! And doubles were 129! the bar spacing is the difference between the two. The bar spacing you want will depend on the pet your housing. Take care!

There’s a way to separate the two right? I’ve seen people do it I’m just not quite sure how. Like if you purchase a double critter nation can you just lift up the middle ramp and make it two separate cages? At this family owned pet store I work at we just got some really unique marked and solid baby rats, and I’m thinking about buying them so they’re not sold as snake food ( hopefully I’m not too late :(( ) but some are boys some are girls. I will eventually buy two critter nations for them both but right now I don’t have enough. At first they’re all going in a twenty gallon or 30, ( ik that’s way small for like five rats ) when I buy them, then It’ll take two weeks and I’ll order a critter nation. But I can’t order two right now ( like I stated I will. ) I can make it two right?
@ToriLynnPPH6 жыл бұрын
Yes they’re easily separated (: The ramp works to divide them, or I just used a piece of hardware mesh and zip ties.
