In this video I walk you through each step of setting up a good cattle water trough. From pouring the slab, tapping into a pipeline, plumbing and setting everything up, I cover it all. Plus some great shots of Northern California rice harvest and saying hello to the cows!

You did an incredible job with the concrete…especially being a one man show. When you were leveling the concrete with that 2” x 6” (I believe) I wanted to jump in the screen to give you a hand with the other end!😂 I was thinking the very same thing when you mentioned building a bracket/cover to protect the plumbing. That's funny i was just going to mention that water riser pipe...cattle will move that all over the place and break the joints. I've actually gotten away with placing 2 or 3 -t-post around water lines securing with wire around the two or three posts with water line in center and then just letting the cattle use it for a firm scratch post. What they use most is the top of the t-post/s....so i dull those edges and make sure they are higher than what i'm protecting...my water line below it. T-post protection on water lines....no rot, no paint needed, easy access to water line....to be insulated for winter.
