Glad to hear a teleport pad doesn't need power to receive. Thats the one thing that concerned me about setting up a network was keeping it powered.

And what’s even better is that the base won’t acclimate to external temperatures while you are away, when the power is off. So if you put this on a hot planet (450 Celsius), and keep it powered while you’re there, it’ll maintain normal room temperature.

Excellent video! I learned a lot about how to make an easy network. Do you think its better to have 20 extractors or just farm ice asteroids?

Thank you! I personally think it’s more time efficient to deal with the extractors than to mine dense/rich ice. However, you have to make a lot more fuel to power those extractors so there is a trade off.

@@mov4do Question, I know you always want to go for larger deposits. Is it even worth doing small/very small? Especially for Pentaxid. also you only use Sentry Guns, do you destroy the Drone Bases on those planets to prevent Drone attacks?

@@TheGirDraxon I do sometimes place miners on small pentaxid deposits, but usually do not place them on very small. This is the only resource that I will place the small. Regarding drone bases, yeah I do get rid of them to prevent drone attacks.

I only had the issue of being trapped when the teleporter was placed over the core. No problem after moving it.

Thank you! Sentry guns are not great against drones. They’ll eventually work, but I think the drones have longer range. If the planet has a Drone Base, you’ll want to address that before placing any bases. That particular base actually has a shield generator built in, so you could theoretically use it to help protect the sentries.

That’s a good tip! I’ll have to try to see if it helps! I will say, the blueprint updates I made to that base have been effective at preventing this issue shown in that video.

If you get stuck like that, just type in "GM" in the "console command" thingy, which will turn on "godmode", so you can glide through the blocks without having to remove them. (EDIT: Or does that actually work on a server?) Thanks for video btw :)

Yeah, that’s unfortunately not an option on a public server unless you’re the server owner. But yea, if you play single player that is totally an option!

This and the Blueprint have helped immensely - thank you. I just recently started playing (Vanilla), and have some problems / questions. I've set one on a planet in the same system (Ellyon), but for some reason, I can't transport from my CV to that 1st one from the 2nd planet I just set another one on in the same system. From my CV, it says range is current sector.. but I was able to transport to the one I just set up 54 meters from my CV and when I was getting ready to Transport back to the CV, the 2nd miner base showed as an option to transport to from the 1st auto miner site. It said range: 30 LY. So, not sure if I have a weird setting? Seems I should be able to jump to any of them directly from my CV, unless there's a glitch here..? I wasn't able to transport directly back to the CV from 1st planet, but only thru the 2nd miner site 54M away from my CV?, which seems weird. Lastly, The base got shot up by Zirax scum, and I noticed no shield was up. Under devices it said "cpgShield" but there's nothing in the drop down, so do I need to install the polarized hull shield? It's 3x3 so not sure where it would go, besides digging a lot below!? Thank you!!

Teleport range is dictated based on where you’re teleporting from. So the CV teleport can only reach within a sector. That’s why you can’t go to another base in another sector with your CV teleporter.

@@mov4do Thanks, Movado. But isn't Ellyon the sector? So am I better off building a teleporter from my Base? I thought it would work the same but maybe that's why the Auto Miner (bases) can reach each other? Trying to figure the best efficient way to get to all of them (where to start). Any thoughts on that Shield thing also? I appreciate it, couldn't seem to figure that out. I spawned another 3 of them but each spawn w/o the shield device.

i dont find a search field, where y just type e.X. "iron" and all teleport named iron showes up from all your places . seems like not to exist or ?

Do your bases ever get attacked by Zirax? Or do you clear them off first?

You’ll need to clear the drone base or build in a friendly faction bubble, like Polaris or Trader.

Trying to get started with this, game won't let me place the base near a resource node, is there a trick to it or did it change? Playing on Reforged Eden.

Those are server settings, restricting the placement.

This is a BA. But in that case, simply place it right at the edge of the zone, go out the door & run to it. I’ve had them setup on Plasma planets like that before.

How do u quickly get all the ore back to ur main base?

I take my Zeus CV & make a trip to pick it all up once a week. That ship has 17 320k controllers. The trip takes about an hour.

No deposits do not deplete with auto miners.

Depletion is a setting but I think it only applies to multiplayer. So if you're playing on a server, maybe.

I've been playing with depletion since started. Been learning for 4 months. Same game. I was wondering How people were able to get big ships and tons of fuel!😲😵

Turn of your gsync and manuel put you FPS to 30 I haven't crashed since and setting are on high I have 22 tele spots I port to my auto miners :)
