A materport subscription has a set number of active scans. When you deliver a materport how long do you keep a slot on your subscription available for that scan before deactivating the scan on your account to make room on your account for a newer scans.
@reallyjordanhorn2 ай бұрын
Good question. I would always say that each Matterport came with 3 months of hosting. If the house wasn’t sold at that point, I’d ask the realtor if they wanted an additional 3 months of hosting for $10/mo, or if they wanted to purchase the scan for a small extra fee and I’d transfer the space to them. Thanks for watching! Edit: to further expand on this, periodically I’ll go through my open spaces and see which ones have been sold. If they have been sold, then I’ll deactivate without notifying the realtor.

Great video, how do you create a floor plan? Customers keep asking me.
@reallyjordanhorn Жыл бұрын
Hi! I use CubiCasa. It’s free to generate their base floor plans. You can either watch my REP VLOG #1, and scrub through to where I show you how to create a floor plan, or there’s a really great quick video on KZbin if you just search “How To Create A Floor Plan with CubiCasa” it should be like 2 mins long. I sell mine for $125 base, +$35 per additional floor. 99% of my shoots get them. Cheers! Thanks for watching!

@@reallyjordanhorn hey, quick question... can you please kindly explain, what do you mean with "extra floor"? I mean: you mentioned $125,00 base... That base includes 🤔 what? any floor at all...? if so... what would that number of floors be...? or is it just $125 to do it, using the app), and then $35 for each floor in the house...? Thanks! Love your channel! You explain things so clearly! 👏 thanks!

@@wildpatagoniafilms16 hey! Sorry I missed this comment. Yes, I charge base $125, which means it covers up to a 2000 square foot, single story house. If the home has 2 stories, then I include a $35.00 surcharge. 3 stories, $70.00 total surcharge, etc. Next few days I think I’m going to make a video about all my pricing, I think that might help some people.

Regarding the 3D tours... is the Ricoh the only one that can be used...? How about the Insta 360...? 🤔 if so... does it matter if it is the 1/2 " or 1" sensor...? thanks!! cheers ;)
@reallyjordanhorn10 ай бұрын
More cameras are compatible with Matterport. This website has a complete list for you! matterport.com/cameras/360-cameras
@MtnManJack10 ай бұрын
Yes, the Insta360 X3 is compatible with matterprot and other 3D virtual tour programs. It’s a great starter unit for the price. A larger sensor will give you better image quality but most should do, just have to tweak a few things here and there.

How much space does a regular sized house scan take from the memory card on your camera please thanks Adrian
@reallyjordanhorn10 ай бұрын
In 4 years of REP I’ve only had to clear my Ricoh Theta Z1’s memory about 3 times. I am, however, getting close to needing to do it again for my fourth. Thanks for your comment!

how do you scan stairs with a monopod? most people I see are using a tripod on the stairs.
@reallyjordanhorn5 ай бұрын
I’ve used both a monopod and a tripod with scans. Same process. But the monopod is small enough that the 3 legs can usually fit on a single stair step. It’s still a tripod, I guess, just with more condensed legs haha.

@@reallyjordanhorn cool thanks. question can you go backwards in your scanning? say you have two points but hit a door way, can you go pack to the previous point and scan another point say by the door, that you didn't get before.

how do you share your matterport file to your clients?
@reallyjordanhorn7 ай бұрын
Go onto your Matterport account, click “share” then make it public. Then, copy the embed link and send to your clients. It’s not a file, it’s just a hosted web link.

Is it expensive to produce a 360 tour through Matterport?
@reallyjordanhorn9 ай бұрын
Nope! Check out their site for compatible 360 cameras, I know the SC2 can be found as cheap as $250, and I think the cheapest Matterport subscription is $10/mo for something like 5 spaces for properties.
@wildpatagoniafilms1610 ай бұрын
Oh forgot: 😂 How much do you usually charge for the 3D tour...? thanks!
@reallyjordanhorn10 ай бұрын
I charge a base price of $249, then $0.15/sqft for anything beyond that base price. If you're curious of how to calculate the base price + square footage, just multiply the square footage by the $0.15 per square foot, and as soon as the result is greater than the $249, charge it. For example, $249 base price overs up to 1,660 square feet ($0.15 X 1660 = $249). An 1,800 square foot house would cost $270. Thanks for your comment!

sorry but this is very risky way of shooting. better to scan on location and see black spots on matterspots 3d map. if you check everything on location there is no problem to shoot backyards and garages
@reallyjordanhorn Жыл бұрын
That's a caveat for the Ricoh Theta Z1 that at least I've found - it handles outdoors horribly. If you want to shoot outdoors, better to use a Matterport Pro 2 camera or something like that. I totally agree.
@lkptlst3256 Жыл бұрын
@@reallyjordanhorn never had problem outdoors with Z1, Matterport 2 Camera is design for indoor shooting not for outdoors.
