Setting Up My New (Old) Empire Secretary Desk!

Your desk is absolutely glorious. I too, bought an old writing desk. I actually have two. One is a secretary, and one is a 1940s ladies writing desk, hand painted florals on the front. The interesting thing about the secretary, is that I found and old newspaper article, and skeleton key. The skeleton key looks to be to an old door. It’s pretty big. (Not at all like the skeleton key, that came with it.) I love that when I write at them, I can day dream, about all the owners, before me. Wonder what they wrote? What they thought? What they used it for? I love how things have a story. And now, I get to add mine. Blessed Be.

Such a beautiful desk. I'm fortunate to have my grandfather's roll top desk and it means everything to me. Now that my husband and I've retired traveler's notebooks have been a passion for me. I have to bring, at least, one with me wherever I go. When I'm home, and not writing, I still have one either in my hand or beside me. Weird huh? Love your channel.

I'm finding your videos very interesting since I play the cello (not well, but I still play!) and the ukulele and I love writing and traveler's notebooks, etc! That desk is amazing! I have a small office that I want to start working on so that I have a writing/music/meditation place of my own. Loving your "random" videos. Keep them coming when you can!
