Agree with getting A1C tested. If seemingly unquenchable thirst persists throughout the day, absolutely talk to your doctor about it in that instance also.

Um, it’s an Omnipod 5 and only currently works with G6. I think you may need to rename this video as it’s incorrect.

Thanks for clarifying!- I use the G6 with it now, but was sent the G7 at the time (mistake by warehouse) and the G7 what I show me putting on in the video so that’s why I titled it that! Totally understand how there’s misunderstanding though

Just want to update this comment. Omnipod has issued a new update for the controller and the new Omnipods are coming out that work with BOTH the G6 and G7, make sure you look at the box.

@@THE-michaelmyers I have seen this as well. Caution for iOS / iPhone users, rumor has it that the "soon" to be released iPhone controller app will only be compatible initially with the G6. iPhone owners may want to keep to their G6's until Omnipod gets their act together.

Bluetooth doesn't pass through the human body too well. Having that barrier between the CGM and pump might mean they won't be able to connect to each other. The recommended method is to ensure that the CGM and pump have line of sight of each other. However, this is just best practice, and some people don't have any problems with them being on opposite sides. @@Type1Mind

Hi I'm using the Omnipod 5 with my Dexcom g6. I see you are using the Dexcom g7 are they compatible now? Or how do you use it. I've been wanting to make the dexcom g6 to g7 switch and they keep telling me that they aren't compatible. You seem to know more. Can you break it down to me. Thank you in advance. The omnipod 5 is still only compatible with the G6, unfortunately. For my first order, I was sent the omnipod g7 by mistake (which is shown in this video). Sorry for any confusion my video may have caused!

I haven't used the Tandem pump -- I've only tried Medtronic and Omnipod

@@Type1Mind oh okay. I got tandem. The difference is that it got tubing compared to omnipod.

My daughter is 8 years old and she will be getting her first dexcom G7 and omnipod 5 after all these years of having G6 and no pump but anyways so my daughter diabetic nurse told me that she will need a compatible phone only for the dexcom G7 if using omnipod 5 pump and I wanted to know whist kind of phone are you using?

You need an android if you want to use the omnipod app on a phone. They’re supposed to be iPhone friendly this year. Both Dexcom work on iPhone and android
