Hey man, I like your enthusiasm. You have a pure and honest appreciation for airplanes and flying them. Thank you for putting yourself out there. Don't stop. I hope we meet some day at some airport somewhere.

As a retired aircraft mechanic, it was really interesting to see some of the manufacturing so. I'm enjoying the process. I'm watching in great anticipation for the day you roll it to the end of runway.

What a great video to show the home builder the process - good tips and ideas about how to simplify the job.

Just saw you on the cover of Popular Mechanics, congrats Mike! I used to read about kit planes on the back pages, and now I am considering building mine. Crazy seeing all this come together

This is a fantastic video and with unusual pilot guy info you wouldn’t really see in most pilot oriented videos. Thanks dude! 🇺🇸👍🏻

Will you have dual alternators for redundancy since this is an IFR platform?

I built a few wiring harness in my military days...I had to solder the pins on. This is MUCH easier!

Where in Michigan ? My old stomping grounds & most of my ultralight flying days. Sweet looking instrument panel Mike. It'll be fun using that. 👍🛩

Harness building is serious work and must never be trivialized. I am really impressed with the new modern components and tools in the industry today, no more "cold solder" connections and the like, everything is so much neater. I would guess the Pin Crimping Tools have to be tested for accuracy on a regular basis ?

So once the harness is built, who does the ring out testing? If it's Mid West, do they have a testing rig to simulate the aircraft or is it a simple point-to-point test?

Nice video. Does anyone know where I can learn how to read an aircraft electrical wiring diagram modifications. I am not comfortable enough with them. Any help will be much appreciated.

OK.....I honestly mean absolutely no disrespect with this comment. I understand and recognize that you have no background in aircraft manufacturing (or possibly manufacturing in general) and I'm good with that. However, I think it would be helpful if you also realized that by either partnering with someone who is knowledgeable and can proof read your video before you publish it. Case in point, that connector WAS NOT made in house - it might have been labeled in house, but not manufactured. That is a standard 6 pin flat male connector with strain relief. It's counterpart would be a female connector. I'm only suggesting this if you wish to take your video's and their technical content up a notch. Otherwise - keep at it.
@mojogrip4 жыл бұрын
Non taken, I'd already commented on this a while back. The connector housing is not made at Midwest.

No, you lost it back in the '80s from all the cocaine.

@@benderaviation That doesn't even make sense. So go get "lost."
@scottmcdonald30194 жыл бұрын
The bigger question is : having filmed yourself not being able to use a tape measure, why would you then include that in your video and publish on KZbin ?
@doesntmatter30684 жыл бұрын
@@scottmcdonald3019 Caz that how stupid this guy is! Watch some of his video's, you will see. He acts as if his audience is dumber then himself. Its REALLY funny when he tries to use big words above his 8th grade education. I will give him this, he's a great bullshitter and scammer to get ppl to give him money! Great job!
@scottmcdonald30194 жыл бұрын
@@doesntmatter3068 he doesn't think his audience are less intelligent than himself. He is genuinely astonished by systems like the rudder pedals (where you push the pedals and this converts into the rudder moving) and he wants to share that new knowledge and understanding with his audience. He thinks they too will go on a voyage of discovery. Add in his lack of attention to detail and the way he misunderstand things....that's where he is. He is a nice guy, but just not so bright
