Hi Bram, Do I need to worry about CAPI using all the data coming from all the other channels (like Google Ads)? I mean my visitors are coming to my webshop from several channels (organic, Facebook, Google, Social, E-mail + other media buys). Is this setup you describe, using the API Gateway, taking all the data from all these visitors, and does FB considers all these purchases as FB sales, regardless if these visitors have seen the FB Ad or not? Or how does it separate which purchase came from Facebook, and which comes from other sources? I'm asking because I need exact measurement of FB sales and purchase conversion value, due to reporting back to my clients.

Hi Bram, many thanks for this - very useful. You mention GTM at one point - you run this alongside client side GTM? I wondered how they worked together and, more broadly, whether you considered server side GTM? Also, it was very interesting in the video (around 3:05) where you load up the API shell; I wonder if you could tell me more about the configuration options there?

Hi bram , after setting up the conversion api gateway via AWS , not all events on my Facebook event manager showed up on the CAPI gateway dashboard, so some events are still tracked by the browser only and not the server , how can I solve this

Dont worry, its normal. You can increase your quality modifying your code and data layer. You will need to put more data inside your data layer, like zip code, city, etc . This way, facebook will get more info and will classify better your quality.

@@paolostorres You don't need to worry about this if you know that the information you are passing to the pixel is already enough such as (order value, email, contact) . These are the most important. He will always ask you for as much data as possible, such as the customer's taxpayer, zip code etc etc. You can install the google chrome extension called "data layer checker" . There you can check what data is inside the datalayer and being passed. If you find that the data is enough, you won't have to worry

In my case, it took a few minutes to start seeing the events appearing in the Gateway interface. It took a few hours though until I saw the same events in Facebook Events Manager.

If you are using this Gateway implementation then deduplication is automatically handled by Facebook. Each event will have a unique event ID so Facebook knows it is the same event.

Why should I use the Conversion API Gateway instead of FB Pixel / what are the main benefits ? Also when you configure a subdomain for Facebook Conversions API Gateway on your domain, instantly the FB solution will have access to all your 1st party data. Doesn't this concern you ? Cheers
