SETUP FOR WAKESURFING BEHIND A DIRECT DRIVE BOAT SEE WHAT 2300LBS OF BALLASTS & SWELL WAKESHAPER DO

AS WITH ALL MY VIDEOS I TRY TO GIVE THE MOST INFORMATION IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME AS POSSIBLE SO I DONT WAIST YOUR TIME. IN THIS VIDEO I GO OVER WHAT I DID TO GET A USABLE WAKE FOR WAKESURFING BEHIND MY 2001 TIGE 21V DIRECT DRIVE BOAT WHICH IS NOT MADE FOR WAKESURFING. I SHOW A VIDEO AFTER EACH BALLAST THAT I PUT IN SO YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WAKE WITH AND WITHOUT THE WAKESHAPER. I HAVE 2 400LB BIG AIR BALLASTS, A 400LB FLY HIGH BALLAST AND A 1100LB FLY HIGH BALLST. I TRIED SOME DIFFERENT PLACEMENTS OF THOSE BALLASTS AS WELL. I ALSO GO OVER WHY A V-DRIVE IS MADE FOR WAKESURFING MORE THAN A DIRECT DRIVE AND I GO OVER WAKESHAPER POSTION A LITTLE. THIS IS ALL MY OPINION AND WHAT I FOUND OUT BY EXPERIMENTING WITH MY BOAT IT WILL DIFFER WITH EVERY SITUATION DEPENDING ON WEIGHT OF RIDERS, THE DESIGN OF A BOAT, AND LOCATION OF WEIGHT IN A BOAT.

Awesome video. I would recommend getting a surf mode wake shapers. Also try putting the shaper about 2 feet from the back of the boat. That seemed to help on my 2007 ski Natique

Great video!!! Any issues cruising around with that much weight? I just bought a 2007 DD Ski Centurion ordered my perfect pass today and bought 5 used bags 2 x 800 2x 350 an a 250 2500lbs. Hoping I didn’t make the wrong decision but the deal was to good to pass up. with everyone wanting stupid money for old beat V-dives right now I’m rockin a DD for the unforeseeable future. FYI Fuel burn might have also played a part to a worsening wave later in your day. Just a thought…🤷🏻

I can’t cruise around the lake with that much extra weight I can only get up to just past the speed for wake surfing we put the 800 in rear and the 400 up front do the wakeboarding then add the 1100 for surfing the rest of our day

Could be with the fuel burn because we guzzle fuel with all that weight 👍 I haven’t gone through this much fuel since there was eight of us wake boarding non stop and coming in on fumes every trip that was a long time ago
