Thanks for the effort. But you should alert a person to make sure that ALL the knobs are loose before beginning. Since one can go crazy trying to get that slider onto the gimbal (at the beginning) without realizing how there's a knob underneath which allows you to slide it on. Mine came tightened and I went insane trying to slide it in. Until I realized the knob underneath needed to be loosened. You'd think this is intuitive, but it's not.

@@paultsworld If you watch him carefully, you'll kinda see his thumb (1:09) reaching back there to push the silver button. That's another thing which needs to be done which he doesn't explain. It's round and kinda resembles a screw head or something like it. The entire step was hidden in the other video he did of this crane. Hope you fare better than I did. Returned mine. But I really wanted it to work for me.

@@paultsworld It was mainly for my smartphone and I was going insane trying to get it to move without any jitters or motor error alerts. I tried all the varying motor strength settings and I'm pretty sure it was balanced. But no matter what I did I just kept getting those alerts and that occasional jitter whilst panning. Not to mention how the darned thing scratched my phone's screen protector. So remember when trying to balance it...be mindful of your phone's screen.

getting this to balance with an iPhone XS Max + Moment lenses is a major pain. Such a bummer cause all the other smartphone gimbals cannot hold the weight without counterweights, and mostly the size of the phone with case bumps into motors. I was so excited about this one, but balancing is such a chore.

Hi, Please help. Single click on trigger button doesn't take me to F mode. I did single click from all other modes but it never took me to F mode. I cant go to F mode at all !!. As given in manual, Long press on trigger button activates F mode and it goes back to previous mode upon releasing the trigger. The firmware version is 2.02 upgraded on 27 June 2020, The Gimbal is purchased in January 2020.. Please help to solve the problem. How to go to F mode.

I'm new to gimbals but if it's balanced properly shouldn't it just return to the upright position on its own when you move it to any position and then release it - even when the gimbal is powered off?

I have a IPhoneXr with the Moment case ..I use the Moment anamorphic lens with ND filter.. I currently own the Zhiyun Smooth 4 but I have to mount counter weights to compensate which is always a pain setting up ..My ? is what motor strength do you recommend on my M2 .? Maximo Gomez I was able to use my Moment case and lenses but it was a pain to stabilize, not going to lie lol but I eventually got it. The case is pretty thick so it’ll sit a little outside the holder but it’s firm and won’t fall off. I did put the motor on medium, seem to work better. Some reason Filmic pro does recognize the M2 and it does connect but some reason it doesn’t let me use controls on the M2. I still need to troubleshoot the issue but I’m sure it’ll work. Filmic pro does pick it up so that’s the plus but just need to find the reason it’s not letting me use the controls.

Maximo Gomez I have not been able to balance it and I have this same case with the wide lens, Nd filter and counterweight system. No luck yet, it is really hard to balance smartphones with top heavy attachments even though it can handle the weight.

When wanting to connect, the crane-M2 does not appear. I found all the smooth product (Q, Q2, 3, 4, and other compatible stabilizer) I found the "WEEBill-S", for action cam... I have tried to connect all of them but without success.

If mounted other wide am afraid camera of the phone might capture the motor on the side, however suggest to look at Saramonic Blink500 which should be still ok to use and enable balance on this.

I balanced the gimbal to the iPhone. But when you said “this is the most important thing” when you move the angle of the phone to see if it stays. My phone just falls back into the place it was balanced at! Any tips?

Then its bottom heavy hold the phone flat and move it up and down till it hold it in place then you can move it and hold it place.

All gimbals have to balance even phone gimbals, but because this is meant for proper cameras it balances more precise that most phone gimbals, but once done and only use with a phone you don't need to do it again.
