Being a furry is one of the best things that ever happened to me. This little fandom opened up the gates for me to settle into a relationship, discover my small found family, meet plenty of talented and kind people, and just add a little more fun into my life instead of being stuck as a socially awkward shut-in (not that there’s anything wrong with being introverted, of course 😋). You see these *weird* people doing *weird things* like dressing up as animals and roleplaying. 2. You instantly cringe and start to hate them. But not before learning they are called furries. 3. You look at furry cringe compilations to solidify your belief that they are weird and unsavoury people. 4. You start leaving hate comments on furry creator's posts, in turn, getting reccomended more furry content in the process. 5. You start to like and relate to some of the content and creators, but furries are still generally weird to you. 6. You grow up and get over how the furry fandom is cringe. As someone who spent the majority of their life intertwined within it be you a hater or not. You know of the culture and easily intergrate. This is a more harmful, but very real way of entering the furry fandom.

and don’t forget the 3rd way: Stumbling into it and not realizing all of steps of it happening until it has already happened. 1. Watch content with subtle references that you don’t get because you’ve never heard of it 2. Don’t look into it because you think nothing of it 3. Find more content with these sorts of things because it happens to be popular anyway 4. Look for more of the already mainstream content that’s similar to the other stuff, but still don’t still understand what you’re looking for 5. Start to find specific characters in the media cute or interesting, but continue thinking nothing of it 6. Look up these characters specifically because you’ve become obsessed with them and lastly, number 7. Every step in the video within the span of 1 to 2 days instead of long term
