Nice shots. A few of these I never use. 👍👍👍 I will now lol. A tip for those with the jump shots. I have learned to shoot with either eye dominant. Jump shots are way easier to sight with the eye the same arm as your shooting arm. High masse as well. Takes a bit of practice but I think it's worth the effort. Plus it makes shooting off hand more natural as well if you switch eyes. If you can. Also trying to limit head movement and just move your eyes back and forth on jumps helps me a lot as well.

how are you aiming that last shot (the safety) ? i was trying to figure out a consistent safety for that very shot earlier today and just could not find a way to aim it that gave a good result consistently

Good ideas. I would have taken an intentional foul, hitting the 5 ball making the 9 ball, and then spotting it.

I am sorry and no hate but I see some (In my humble opinion) strange tips as an professional poolplayer. I will go through each and everyone and explain what I think about them. 1. You should go with some left english/spin and go our left long rail, short, long and back to the long rail you went in first. 2. I could be wrong but I think that’s an illegal way to shot the ball and also the 3rd shot was an clear foul and also some of the rest. 3. Nice, good and smart advice even tho this situation comes up like 1 time in every 10000000000 rack, lol. 4. Nice little trick shot. 5. I guess good tip, but most poolplayers know this but yeah, good way to play it. 6. Yeah I mean🤷‍♂️ Same answear as on number 5. 7. Maybe could come in handy some situations but not in many. This shot involves to much risk. Like in this layout. Just play thin on the right side of the one ball and end up in the same position with the cueball he just ended up in and risk way less with the shot. (I know it was just an example but yeah). No hate, just my opinion and good luck with your channel👍

With due respect to your ability, Anthony, on the 1st shot, a low left 3 rail shot is much easier than your reverse English 4 rail. You show the 9 at the center diamond, tons of room to slide the cue ball in position for the 9 after 3 rails. Even if the 9 was even closer to the left corner pocket, I’d opt for the low left 3 rail. Reverse English just to hard (for me!).

Appreciate your perspective but low don’t do a thing when you cut a ball 80 degrees.

Shot #2 the reverse pull keep in mind in many leagues is an illegal shot since the butt of the cue is dragging on the table. I can’t see from your camera angle but unless you have the cue completely off the table. Dragging the butt on the cloth would make it illegal in many leagues. Similarly how some leagues say you have to always have one hand on the bridge when using a mechanical bridge. The rules vary from place to place so be aware of the league and tournaments rule sets first before trying that shot.
@poolteacher
@poolteacher 3 жыл бұрын
Just reviewed the BCA rule book and didn't see anything prohibiting it. Secondly, I would argue that you lay the butt of a bridge cue on the table when you use it. Is that illegal? If this shot is illegal that would have to be illegal too. Every league I've played in, it has always been completely legal. But I am sure it could be illegal in some places if there is a specific rule prohibiting it. Thanks for the comments. Always love to hear your perspective :)
@PhillyFingers
@PhillyFingers 3 жыл бұрын
@@poolteacher yes it’s very dependent on the location and rule set. I was keeping in mind not just BCA but other leagues and international play as well. Many countries use different house rules and tournament rules. Just something for them to be aware of. A casual APA player my try this and get all sorts of questions based on the region and the lack of rules written about it in the APA handbook since it’s such a unique shot. Always enjoy your videos!!
